I had 6 non-scoring players last week! This week I will have 1! DT is a stupid game! but thanks to Fraser, Kerr, Ziebell, Higgins and Chapman for all deciding to turn up this week! Still would like Hodge, Didak, ottens and skippy to play a game but at least I will have a team to field this week!

  10. need houlihan to play. Give him a go ratten, get rid of robinson hes a dud.

  14. Masterchef (respect your ingredients) Guy

    May 21, 2009 at 6:44 pm

wtf is wrong with houlihan anyway? I know that there was talk of him being a bit soft and not chasing down players etc yeah, but is he hurt or something? Is he playing in the magoos? Anyone know, yeah?

  15. TR

    May 21, 2009 at 6:45 pm

why would u not keep Kane Cornes? – he is a GUN of the highest degree.

    Krakoure > Sidebottom
    Otten > Corey

    for me.

Good to have Higgins back, sures up my fwd line. Hoping Cheney plays and hoping Chappy has half a game so he can drop a little in price 🙂

Haha, brillient headline M0nty, pure gold. Broughton and beams dropped pissed me off, but nothing major.

  18. Heater

    May 21, 2009 at 6:57 pm

WTF Broughton!!!!!!! Plus T.Tuck on an extended bench with Beams & Anthony as reserves neither of which are playing. Might be a donut in there somewhere I think.

Still, GAJ & Higgins are back so that helps.

Gunna bite the bullet and look long term: Trade S.Hill for Grimes & Krak for Goodwin.

  19. bucks

    May 21, 2009 at 7:24 pm

    May 21, 2009 at 7:25 pm

Yes m0nty…team members back…no doughnuts this week.

  21. jb

    May 21, 2009 at 7:41 pm

should go Krack to ROK maybe tool…

  22. hibbo

    May 21, 2009 at 7:50 pm

Hmmm Petrenko, Houlihan and Broughton all named as a EMG. Any chance one of these guys gets a game? Broughton was pretty good last week i thought, faded a little, but certainly not the worst of the freo players…

  23. jb

    May 21, 2009 at 7:55 pm

sneaking susp Greggy will get a game, he faded as you say hibbo due to the fact he was given a job to do and sacrificed his own game after half time.
He’s not bad but think ppl are gettin a bit tooo excited by him.

What was the reason for Grimeys fade? Huge 1st qtr.

  24. Rooster

    May 21, 2009 at 7:56 pm

    Wheres Houlihan????

  25. anon moose

    May 21, 2009 at 8:00 pm

  27. Pete

    May 21, 2009 at 8:09 pm

    S.Hill -> Newman
    Krak -> Buddy

leaves 50k odd to get do some straight swaps for more bottomed out premiums.

  28. Pete

    May 21, 2009 at 8:11 pm

btw i already have 200k in da bank atm

  29. Carlton Crew

    May 21, 2009 at 8:11 pm

really annoying that broughton is dropped has scored 70 and 76 and sc but also played well, deserves a game ahead of some other blokes. Although i got a feeling him and houlihan might get up this week as there both emergencies

  30. Dane

  32. jb

    May 21, 2009 at 8:31 pm

Dane sounds a bit gay dont he.

  33. Anthony

    May 21, 2009 at 8:42 pm

Sounds like Dane needs to take his own advice. If he believes there is more to life than the AFL what on earth is he doing on this website.

  34. Scuzzlebut

    May 21, 2009 at 8:46 pm

go fuk yourself dane, you smart arse prick. i bet your night of parties, chicks and booze involves your hand, a baccardi breezer and the ‘big tits at work’ website. ya fkn loser.

  35. Howie

    May 21, 2009 at 8:53 pm

    Got a problem this week
I have M Brown and Taylor Walker, and I reckon they have reached their plataeu. I like the look of Sidey and Ben McGlynn, both will be good cash cows and can score well if needed for the last forward. Should I burn 2 more trades now, or wait for others, I dont know if there will be better candidates in the forward line in the next 4-5 weeks and Brown and walker wont make much more coin. Will be left with 11 more trades. Suggestions?

Oh and Dane, what are you doing on a FF blog if dont like AFL. Freakin clown!

    GARY ABLETT IS BACK

  37. Paddy

    May 21, 2009 at 9:04 pm

@Howie – Sidebum definately looks good, I don’t actually know that much about McGlynn to be honest. Just remember tho that Hayden Balantyne should be playing for Freo sometime in the next 3-4 weeks, so there are other rookies coming up on the horizon

  38. Rami

    May 21, 2009 at 9:19 pm

broughton was my cover for houlihan…. im gonna cop a dohnut now -.-

  42. Stagger

    May 21, 2009 at 9:47 pm

Damn it, when will Skipworth get another gig!

  43. Anthony

    May 21, 2009 at 9:49 pm

Was going to trade Mitch Brown down to Sidebottom as his price isn’t going to rise much more but may have to reconsider this move after the team selections. With Houlihan, Petrenko and Broughton not playing I’m now thinking about trading Houlihan down to Ben Ross instead which would make me approximately the same amount of cash and no donut.

    Your thoughts fellow fantasy coaches.

Oh the rumours I’ve heard about Houlihan this week

    1. Behind the scenes punishment for off fielf incident
    2. Current side too good
    3. An undisclosed injury (though he’s on emerg lst)
    4. He’s a punce

Whatever they’re saying, I cant see Hot Lips gracing senior AFL turf real soon. I’ve found the whole thing the most amusing situation since the sheep traded GAJ out less than 3 weeks ago.

Talking about sheep I have to baa and admit to jumping on the Grimes express. Everyones talking money trade, bench champion cover specialist for a back premium set up that some have. For me, I just needed to offload Hot Lips – nothing more.

I’m backing Sidebottom big time. He’s a lock this season….

He’s look like a real trooper, more a Rich than an Steve Hill in the sense of being picked early on at selection on Thursday arvo. For some reason whilst the kids this yaer have been the pick of many seasons, 90% of the debutants have really fallen away after 2 – 3 games. Guys like Rich seem to defy this but Robinson and Petrenko flattered to decieve (and many, many more) trusting coaches who backed them on form only to watch them get swamped into the straight and deliver 20’s and 30’s. Though it’s a tough gig. These are just kids we’re talking about with their baseball and their other stupid clothes that gen y’s love. I bump into them at my local occasionally and they act like school kids but there usually over 6’1 and could give me a good flogging.

Look at Gibbs second AFL season. Soaking up and adapting the AFL pressure both on and offield takes a certain attitude. Just ask Lawrence Anguin.

The whole Skipworth debacle is a real worry. I’ve found it confronting as I’ve retained him on my bench thru loyalty and because he’s a great producer when he’s going and I thought he’d be back by now. But how and where will he fit into the surging Bombers side?

The Broughton and Beams ommissions will certainly cause much pain and anguish. My radar never picked up Broughton as I sat on the PC and went thru literally hundreds of team combinations at 3 in the morning before the caper started this season.

And Dane, just go to game with good company. If it’s a shit game, at least you’ve had a good day with good company. If you want to win friends and bag footy, just get stuck into the stadium caterers. There needs to be a strike from the fans. They should all bring their lunches and the caterers can stick that $6.00 cold, lifeless hot dog where the sun dont shine. And shove the $5.00 bucket of tepid chips up the corporate noses – one chip at a time.

Oh and Carro – always bag her.
