Apart from the Shuey ommision no damage for me. Still nervous about Hargrave being are starter.
I know you have Monty, do i dump for Gram or save my trade.

Any news on the Shuey injury? Someone mentioned it may be a possible broken kneecap.

Is Ratten trying to get fired??? No Bower already, and you drop to potentially key defenders…although not sure if Thornten has ever key defended anything in his life….

    whats the go with shuey?

Cunnington into the emergencies for North, and Palmer onto the extended bench for Freo. Both bode well for early-season upgrades!

Geelong fans, what is the feeling about Pods? Is he safe because he is named on the field?

tom_scully, depends on this game really… this is the first real match with all of hawkins, mooney and pods. He looked good last week, with 6 contested marks, but if they can all fire this week, (and against port at skilled means it’s good chance) then he’ll definitely be in the team for weeks to come. Initially I thought he was there purely as a ‘back-up’ key forward, which would come in handy for st kilda, so im really looking forward to see how this week goes…

    Also… whats up with stanton?

I’m still not sure on trades… got stants, roo, buddy and clark out this week as well as shuey which means no mid emerg…

Thinking of keeping clark (got warnock as cover) cos cox will only be a bit more expensive after this week…

So i guess im just trading riewoldt… who’s the best replacement in SC? (ive already got brown, okeefe, higgins)

tomscully, pods will play this week, don’t sweat about that. No guarantee he’ll play after that. You’d expect him to be in and out of the side, depending on injury and form to him and similar types. Don’t forget Stokes will come back and will have a point to prove.

Knights, I’d give Clark the arse and promptly. Just my opinion but not going to reach the heights of last year with Leuy all over the ruck up there. I’d take Chappy for Roo. He’s a jet.

Just wondering what funny one liner Dennis Commetti will come up with if Matty Stokes ever lines up on Jason Gram?

Surely the best pick up for Riewoldt is J.Brown, very consistent and not looking at all injury prone….touch wood…Chappy is flying but his legs are touch and go…ROK is playing in a side that will drop off at some stage this year…I can’t look past Johnboy!!!

    April 15, 2010 at 9:56 pm

Knights – I think if you already have Brown and ROK then your next best bet is Pavlich…. he is a proven performer and premium…. i dont think you can go wrong personally

Lol, Howlett still in the twos? I heard he didn’t play for the 2nds last week. Still sore from week before? Relton Roberts = spud?

bahaha lmao at merv neagle comment on den com… i snagged brennan in my midfield and rockliff for roo but then subbed brennan to forward and mitch duncan to mid as a potential cash cow

Interesting side note, 9 first gamers named (they won’t all play…some on extended benches), and not one of them is a MID.

Exactly why you shouldn’t have Carlton (or Essendon) players in your team. Ratten (and Knights) have no idea, and their player management stinks for DT.

    April 16, 2010 at 3:30 am

…the pair of them are Rosemary’s babies and the son’s of Dean you-know-who.

  17. Dunlop

    April 16, 2010 at 3:49 am

TeaL is correct. Howlett didn’t play for Bendigo last week, but nor did Hardingham – Essendon does have a policy of keeping out 1 or 2 emergencies (which they both were) when the seniors play on the same day, so its possible he was still sore, but I’m inclined to think it was just keeping with policy.

    April 16, 2010 at 9:16 am

DiscoDB who exactly would you drop to bring in Howlett ?

  19. Patrician

    April 16, 2010 at 9:32 am

Bloody Relton. Four players suspended and you can’t get a game.

Rockliff in though so that’s a plus.

  20. stevemac

    April 16, 2010 at 11:12 am

In regards to Relton, if Hardwick insists on high rotations of players each week, he’s bound to get another shot in the senior side and play that elusive third game.

Any news on how long shuey and stanton will be? With Howlett not playing and Banner touch and go, the ole midfield has taken a turn for the worse this week.

  22. grum88

    April 16, 2010 at 1:51 pm

ive have waite from the start.
Times like these im very happy I picked 30 players who i think will play more often than not. Thankfully have Maguire on my bench which i probably should be starting anyway ;).

I’m in two private leagues but I thought I’d also join public league to smash some muppets to increase my feeling of well being and superiority. I just cant believe what these people are on – Rory Sloane, Daniel Talia ??? were these muppets just throwing darts?
