Hey Monty, is it the right time to ditch Tippett for Kreuzer?

    April 9, 2010 at 3:05 pm

I dont think holders of Howlett should be to concerned. But the thinking of his demotion must be quetioned.Laidley as he did with the hiding of Anthonys injury last year puts in another dagger.

    @ Monty
Thinking of changing my team name from Stkilda to Fanfooty.com.au,will you pay me.

Pretty disappointed with the headline Monty, not up to your usual standard.
    Some suggestions:
    “Relton’s Black… I mean Relton’s Back!”
    “Cold spell – no heater”
    “Get your Adcock out”

I like the Heater one, may use that later in the year. 🙂

hey tradded out b.lake due to poor performance who should i pick up hodge or enright?

Who will be first coach sacked this season? I’m going with Knights, how could he not drop Slattery, Dyson and Williams ahead of Prismall and Howlett. He must go.
Good work on the headline Monty better than last weeks effort anyway!

    April 9, 2010 at 4:38 pm

TOM15, I’d grab Corey Enright. He is a jet. His bad games still reap 90 points. He hardly missed a target, never fumbles, blah blah blah. Also, I reckon he’s played about 70 consecutive matches. What more could you want!? Foolysik, if you’re serious about Knights being the first coach sacked let me know. I’d like to bet a grand on it; I’ll even give you 2:1.

Prismall?? 98 and 97 DT in his last 2 games?? He’s been looking great. There must be some story here I am missing… disciplinary reasons??

  15. m0nty

    April 9, 2010 at 4:50 pm

Late change: Brad Ottens out for Dawson Simpson.

  16. Arky

    April 9, 2010 at 4:51 pm

Either Prismall has some undisclosed soreness, or it’s a “failed to follow team rules” thing you’d imagine.

Really hoping that Heater is just a 1-2 week injury max.

I’ve decided to hold both Clark and Harvey; subject to late-breaking news, I’m trading Moore and Wright for Duncan and Ballantyne, which fixes the bottom end of my forward line.

Gee, is matty knights being payed by Richmond or something? What is he thinking, he really wants that spoon doesn’t he?

  19. gruby

    April 9, 2010 at 5:25 pm

Knights will not be sacked, Prismall was seen as an in and under player, and last week, as most of his teammates did, he sat back and waited for someone else to do the hard work.
Howlett very unlucky, but Khighta had to make an impact, a lot of influence came from the assitant coaches as well.
Bombers need to find some grunt this week, hence the introdction of Lovett-Murray.

  20. Dunlop

    April 9, 2010 at 5:36 pm

Must say it is amusing to see people whinge about Prismall being dropped whilst quoting DT scores (and Monty was guilty of this in the Coaches’ Box as well). Watch the game! He was terrible last week from both a turnover perspective and two-way running.

As for Howlett, all I’ll say is he failed to follow the instructions he was given. Although I must say, Monty for someone that regularly talks about job security for rookies – you took 3 guys with the lowest job security of those on offer in JKT, Howlett & Strauss and yet seem surprised when the (almost) inevitable happens.

  21. mervneagle

    April 9, 2010 at 5:38 pm

I agree with gruby except for that last bit about lovett-murray….. n rat’s back because he’s no longer suspended. Or I am completely mixed up and he was available last week? Apologies if I am. I would have thought lonergan an reimers were the ‘grunt’.

  22. Najo_man86

    April 9, 2010 at 6:00 pm

Mitch Clark still suffering from “FLUEUENBERGER” or will show his premium potential??

  23. gruby

    April 9, 2010 at 6:07 pm

merv and Dunlop are spot on, Prismall is looking the goods from a stats point of view, but last week, was the typical front runner that the Bombers don’t need, he needs to get back to getting in hard.
Reimers is the big inclusion, was a surprise to see him out last week, but Knights will not put up with players not following instructions. Hille and Ryder are under the pump this week if they allow Kruez to run around like they did Sandi last week, they should be the best 1-2 ruck combo in the league.

    April 9, 2010 at 6:21 pm

hmmmm, what the f is going on with gray? do i just trade him out for peterson and claim the 200k price rise or do i keep him in and wait it out….seriously, what the hell

  25. DT=Life

    April 9, 2010 at 6:26 pm

Rooke didn’t make the final 22 but is an emergency, now that is odd.

Also gruby, Hille and Ryder best one-two combo in the league? You seem to be forgetting about west-coast, possibly the best one-two combo ever once Cox is fit in a month or so.

Also m0nty, very unlucky on Howlett, was looking at him as a missed opportunity only days ago. WCE still not giving Hams a run is dissapointing, he’s a 23yr old so if they picked him they should play him. Could be a great down-grade later in the year.

  26. mervneagle

    April 9, 2010 at 6:27 pm

I’d trade him out, especially if you haven’t used any trades yet. This is the best trading week of the entire season. I would have thought everybody would use 2 unless they were clever enough to choose their initial squad very, very wisely. Why stick with gray when you don’t know what’s up with him when you can instead launch into peterson? He has cash cow written all over him. What more could you want from an 83k player? What if gray doesn’t play until round 6 or 7 and peterson is 300k by then?

  27. ManZzZoid

    April 9, 2010 at 6:35 pm

Why is Silvagni named 8th on the INT bench?.. He’s played 2 good matches!

  28. ryz.

    April 9, 2010 at 6:39 pm

haha yeah, merv, i hear you, and considered it all. but especially now he could be a nice unique pick later on in the season, and wasting a trade when i got 22 playing seems silly….

although the money is there to be made….and i really dont like how vague the injury status is….

however petos spot in the side may be a little iffy in the next few weeks, although hoops’ injury has helped him….

still got 20 trades, dont need any. although strongly considering clark to sandi…..silly trade i know….ahhh foresight / crystal ball would be awesome

  29. mervneagle

    April 9, 2010 at 6:45 pm

Take peterson now and dump his arse when, and if, gray plays two solid games and looks like jumping in value. You gotta act quick in this game! But nah if you have enough kids playing then there’s no need. good luck. Although if peterson plays another solid game, I will be definitely back to say ‘I told you so’! Joking.

    April 9, 2010 at 6:48 pm

haha im a hawk, so regardless i hope he has a blinder! especially after what they did to us last year….

    i might just trade gray out… 🙁

    April 9, 2010 at 7:41 pm

Isn’t Prismall just another version of Knights during his playing days – “he sat back and waited for someone else to do the hard work” – so essentially Knights has dropped himself lol 🙂
