Howlett will probably get dropped now. Darn. Looks like a wasted trade to Bastinac coming up.

I’d be very worried about Howlett m0nty, as I said before I can guarantee Myers is playing and I can’t see Reimers going either. Probably out fo him or Zaharakis to miss out for Mcveigh and I don’t know who go’s for Myers.

What to do with Robbie Gray? If I had have been home last week I would have never had him in my team. But now I’m stuck with him. Should I just cut my loses and trade him out now?

    Is Suckling likely to play?

not sure Peterson is safe either with Changa and Rioli returning.

I’m certainly concerned over both JKT and Howlett. I think Howlett will play but JKT is in big trouble with those ins.

Bad luck to those who have all of Gray, Rockliff and Roberts/Podsiadly.

    @Grovesy

I burnt 2 trades in D/T. Relunctly i downgraded Mackay to Butler then upgraded Gray to Brennan.Fingers crossed i have recruited 2 unique picks.I just can’t stomache having a 330k player sitting on the bench.
PS: I am going for a high ranking and not a League win.

Sorry Monty but I think you might be using a fair few trades early to fix up your JKT & Howlett picks.

Knights won’t drop Williams, Laycock is there as cover for Neagle, Myers is there as cover for Reimers, which leaves Zakka or Howlett as missing out.

I know Knights was a fan of Howlett’s game – he said as much at the Bendigo-Casey game at the weekend, however I doubt from a structural POV whether we’ll carry that 5 1-pace mids into a game (McVeigh, Howlett, Welsh & Watson Hocking if he’s rotated through). Zakka provides something different, he’s outside, has pace and kicks goals, so unless the plan is to play McVeigh forward I can’t see Howlett keeping his spot.

    Lecras is injured, hammy soreness.

    @ koray

mate if you want a high ranking your in real trouble trading twice after rd1. The top teams don’t trade until round 6 if they can avoid it and will burn 1 or 2 trades max, usually between rounds 2-3, to get rid of the picks that really fluffed it. Though i will admit ur in trouble with Gray and Mackay I’d try and hold off another week is i was you particularly if you’re going butler who is a huge risk and may not keep this up (I am a WCE fan and I’m not so sure) so even though he could pay off ur probably better off waiting a week to see how he goes at subi and if someone else bobs up who’s better. Also if you do have to burn trades early its advisable to go down and keep the money so at least then it can potentially service an upgrade. I’d prefer to go mackay down to a shuey/bastinac/jetta so long as ur not already starting 3 rookies so u can keep the money for upgrades in rd 6. Just my opinion mate but i rekon ur in trouble if ur trading like this in round 1, high ranking teams are usually conservative with trades early.

Dunlop, I’m not kidding when I say Myers is playing, Myers was told on Wednesday that he would be playing this weekend, 100% gtuaranteed.

I’m stoked that Pod’s is playing and I hope Hitchcock keeps kicking goals because I got rid of Gumby for him. I couldn’t help it. I loved Gumby as a child but as an adult, I can’t stomach him.

    presti out!

    there goes my season.

  18. GJayBee

    April 1, 2010 at 7:38 pm

Lecrass, Tippett and Del Santo were the only players that let me down in SC (2341) but in DT (2073) it was Pendlebury, Goddard, Gram, Harvey, Tippett and Gumby that let me down.
I am going to dedicate my life to DT and SC. My girlfriend is hot, I love beer, I really should be happy with life, but my girlfriend is evil and wants me to drink less beer. If this world is not evil I should be able to become shit hot at DT and SC. Then drinking less beer wouldn’t hurt so much. Wish me luck.

    @GJayBee: Whoa, dude Whoa.

Anyways, I think Howlett is safe since Knights and the playing group loves him. On top of him having ability and the Dons not being a serious flag contender means that Essendon could be blooding more youth again.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Relton Roberts is out of the side for breaking club policy (staying out too late).

Hopefully this means he will play in the near future for the Tigers.

  22. Arky

    April 1, 2010 at 8:12 pm

I have Roberts AND Moore out, which puts Gumby on the field.

I hope one or both is back next week, or a trade will be necessary (even if Gumby kicks a bag and scores OK for a rookie forward, I can’t really afford to have two non-playing bench forwards, although I have doubts about the long-termness of Hitchcock and Pods as well- a big debut from Fyfe would be handy)

  23. roodav

    April 1, 2010 at 8:36 pm

Will have Roberts and Lobbe from my 30 out with Kennelly and Higgins on extended benches, though both should play. Glad to have Franklin back after Gumby stank the place up last week. Torn betweeen NDS and Riewoldt for captain this week, leaning towards Riewoldt

  24. Dunlop

    April 2, 2010 at 6:08 pm

    @ DT=Life.

Seems like you had one piece of info and I had the other. You knew Myers was a definite in – which I didn’t, but I knew Reimers was in serious doubt as he’d pulled up sore – which evidently you didn’t.

Anyway we were both wrong on Monty’s boy Howlett as they’ve gone in with the extra small for Neagle.

word is Reimers isnt that fit, so he might be out for a few weeks… glad myers gets a chance…
