Hale bounces a behind from a stoppage on the flank 35m out. (Q1 1:49)
Pendlebury gives to Oxley who has a low percentage shot from the boundary 30m out, and just misses. (Q1 5:48)
Williams slips over as Gunston leads to a Puopolo ball 40m out on the flank. Gunston marks but misses. (Q1 7:47)
Ball up at the top of the Hawk goalsquare, Lewis goes third man up to tap it straight into the breadbasket of Shiels for the first goal. (Q1 9:17)
De Goey roves the spillage from a Hodge tackle 20m out on a slight angle and gives to Swan who snaps high, wobbly and… wide. (Q1 10:35)
Fasolo strips Gibson of the ball with a tackle in the pocket, the spillage goes to De Goey who runs into the open goal! (Q1 11:16)
Varcoe gets a handball behind a pack at the hotspot and snaps across the body off a step… just wide. (Q1 18:09)
Shiels does a one-two with Hill in the middle to run past traffic, then goes long to Breust over the back of the Pie defence to mark 30m out on a slight angle for a goal. (Q1 19:18)
Lewis volleys a ground ball in the centre, it comes off the boot beautifully and falls into the chest of a diving Rioli at the hotspot. Cyril goals. (Q1 21:25)
The Pies started this game strongly with a lot of excellent tackle pressure, but the Hawks have just gone bang-bang. (Q1 21:25)
Lewis is pinged for an obvious block on White in a marking contest at 40m on the flank. White goals. (Q1 23:34)
Pendlebury gives to De Goey as the Pies play on from a free on the wing, but the kid misses from CHF. (Q1 24:50)
Schoenmakers bodies Frost away from the fall of a very high Smith ball to the flank 45m out. He marks, and goals just as prettily as White just did. (Q1 26:04)
Broomhead receives a handball 40m out on the flank and snaps a nice goal off a step. (Q1 28:19)
CLoke stands tall and strong in front of Lake and marks a long Sidebottom ball to 30m on the flank. Travis misses just before QT. (Q1 30:04)
Moore gets a free on Birchall for a hold on the HFF, sends a high ball to a huge pack near the hotspot, Williams crumbs but is tackled… the tackle slings his kick straight! (Q2 1:50)
Puopolo threads a handball through heavy traffic at half forward to Gunston, who has Shiels outside for a quick snap from 45m… it’s good. (Q2 3:51)
Breust marks in the pocket and sees Rioli in space at 20m on a slight angle on the other side. Cyril marks and goals. (Q2 7:05)
Crisp baulks into trouble as the Pies run in the BP, eventually Oxley is caught HTB by Gunston, who converts from 25m. (Q2 9:46)
The Hawks are streaming down the ground again preparing to go inside 50, but the ump sees a jumper hold on Ceglar by Brown 35m out on a slight angle. Ceglar misses. (Q2 12:13)
Cloke gathers a bouncing Williams ball on the HFF, pushes Duryea off with a hand right in his gob, then tries a snap from the boundary 45m out… threads it! (Q2 13:16)
Hodge prevents a certain goal by buffeting Swan after he roved a stoppage at the hotspot. (Q2 16:49)
Adams gets a chance from a stoppage in a similar area, his snap sails through to capitalise on some Pie frontal pressure. (Q2 17:12)
CLoke slings Lake off the fall of a long White ball to the corridor 25m out, he marks without the ump intervening. But the footy gods push the set shot wide. (Q2 19:16)
Long ball to the square, Cloke juggles, the ball falls for White but he volleys into the post. (Q2 19:26)
Gunston gives to Rioli, Frost tackles, Rioli drops the knees but the non-controlling ump pays a high free, possibly for the next contact which was high. Rioli goals from 35m. (Q2 22:47)
Long ball to the Pie square, it clears the contest but sits up, Swan is able to push off Stratton with ease, gather and goals. (Q2 26:48)

After a stoppage at half forward, Burgoyne finds Rioli in a phone box at the hotspot for the first goal of Q3. (Q3 2:45)
Moore marks near the behind post but misses the checkside set shot. (Q3 6:40)
Lewis bombs long to the square, Gunston gathers but is tackled, two Hawks are there to pressure, eventually Smith picks up and goals. (Q3 8:14)
Adams gives to Crisp after the next centre bounce, he runs to CHF and shoots… over the man in the square for a goal! (Q3 9:41)

Maynard turns the ball over on the wing, Hale starts the fast break that releases Hill for two bounces ahead of Oxley and a pass to Gunston to goal from 20m. (Q3 15:17)
Pendlebury kicks long from the next centre bounce up the guts to 40m out where Cloke clunks the mark in between the Hawk zone. Trav misses badly, again. (Q3 16:16)
Elliott taps outside to Sidebottom who baulks Smith and snaps across his body from 40m on a slight angle… bounces wide. (Q3 18:29)

Crisp dives and marks a centring ball by Adams to 35m on a slight angle. He misses, disappointingly. (Q3 23:14)

Fast break by the Pies this time, up the guts, Hodge drops the mark on the flank, Fasolo roves and shoots immediately from 50m… wide. (Q3 27:01)
Hale down to Mitchell at a throw in on the HFF, the long ball to the hotspot, Breust is favoured by the kick, Maynard falls over, Breust gathers and goals. (Q3 29:12)

On the end of a fast break from the BP, Cloke gives to Swan for a goal from the pocket 20m out. Pies hit the lead, it’s a rare close one between these two teams! (Q4 8:30)
The ump picks out a very soft free against Shiels on Blair for a spoil from a Pendlebury kick to 25m on a slight angle. Blair goals. (Q4 10:30)
Mitchell to Hale at a stoppage in the pocket, the snap from 25m goes wide. (Q4 12:25)
Rioli tries to rove a long ball to a huge pack at the hotspot, Varcoe bumps him high and is reported. Cyril gets up unscathed, and goals. (Q4 15:15)
Suckling runs to just outside CHF and sends a trademark long laser with his left boot… clears the pack on the line to give the Hawks the lead! (Q4 17:17)
The Pies break from a big pack at halfback, Swan beats Stratton on the HFF and passes to White in front of Burgoyne at 40m on a slight angle. White misses. (Q4 20:31)
Eliott passes to White at CHF but he tries a pass to Swan in the pocket that dribbles out of bounds. (Q4 23:01)
A secondary stoppage in the Pies FP as the clock ticks under 4:00. (Q4 23:15)

Pendlebury gives to Broomhead whose pressured snap is wide. (Q4 23:45)
3:34 at the kick in. Hawks rebound down members wing. (Q4 24:03)
Hill turns the ball over to Oxley on the wing. Pies pick their way forward. (Q4 24:59)
Pies think about the switch but go back to the members wing. Cloke hits the hotspot, Mitchell roves to start the rebound. (Q4 25:15)
Rioli is the difference maker with a loose ball get on the wing, he starts a fast break that ends with Hill finding Breust on his own in the square for a huge goal! (Q4 26:16)
Mitchell gets a free for putting his head over the footy at CHB after the Hawks swarm CLoke to smother a snap from the hotspot. (Q4 27:12)
Rioli feeds Hill 35m out on a slight angle to put a cherry on top with a goal as the final siren sounds. (Q4 28:27)
