Hot Cloke offered 5 year deal at $1million a seasonESN - Fri 29/6, 9:47AM
NEWS: Cloke has confirmed Fremantle have offered him a monster deal worth nearly $1 million a year over 5 years. Speculation also mounted on Thursday that Cloke had in fact re-signed with Collingwood, but on The Footy Show, Cloke put that to rest saying "If it takes until the end of the year, it gets done then. If it gets done in a week or two weeks' time from now, then great. But right now where we're sitting, there's no contract signed. I don't have a time limit."

Cold Cloke blanketedESN - Thu 31/5, 8:24AM
NEWS: Cloke was shutout of Collingwood's Round 9 victory against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on the weekend by Crows defender Ben Rutten. Cloke did not take 1 single contested mark and struggled all game to influence the contest. Rutten said after the match that "Every opponent's different, you've got to target different things. Tonight was a pretty narrow focus for me, in terms of only having one opponent. [I targeted] one-on-one contests ... try and get physical with him and stop him marking the ball. He works really hard, across the ground and up and back - his work rate's as good as anyone's."

Cold Cloke has contract and not football on his mindESN - Tue 22/5, 2:35PM
NEWS: When Nathan Buckley was asked on Fox Footy's On The Couch if the speculation surrounding his contract was affecting his form, Buckley said "Something is. He's not playing his best at the moment and he's only human. He's a big unit, he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders at times, as all high performers do. I think ... it would be taking a toll on him in some way, and I suppose that's where you rely on the strength of the football club and your teammates and the coaches around to simplify your role and to make it as enjoyable as possible. There are times in a football career when it's not so enjoyable and some of it's in his control and some of it isn't. I'm pretty confident we'll get a really strong performance from him on Saturday night."

Hot Cloke linked to FremantleESN - Wed 2/5, 6:10PM
NEWS: Cloke becomes a restricted free agent at the end of this season and Fremantle have allegedly spoken with Cloke's manger and father David. Eddie McGuire described a mock-up image in the Herald Sun, depicting Cloke in a Fremantle jumper, as "a disgrace". "You couldn't pay him a million bucks to wear that. My head's going the colour of the purple haze at the moment. Unless that's our training jumper of the future he won't be in that. Relax. He hasn't come out of contract yet, we're talking to his father, he'll be all right."
