NEWS: McDonald came in at Round 2 as a Emergency, with Coach Mark Neeld taking a gamble on the key position forward, and playing him in a defensive role. It has certainly been a terrific move as McDonald has blossomed in the new position. McDonald said "I was probably lucky I got a chance in round two. I came in as an emergency and I've been able to stick in the side ever since. I probably exceeded expectations considering it could have been a little while longer until I got a chance.
