NEWS: Brenton Sanderson has described a new-look Taylor Walker as a "beast". "He looks fantastic, he's absolutely nailing them in the gym and winning all the strength contests," Sanderson said. "He looks like a beast on the track." Taylor Walker booted 63 goals in a breakout 2012 providing very solid fantasy numbers. He should certainly be considered heading into 2013.

NEWS: Walker i suffering from a hip complaint and may miss Round 23 with the injury after missing training on Friday. Crows assistant coach Scott Camporeale said "Taylor's just a little bit sore. So he spent time indoors doing some touch work. Tex (Walker) is an important player for us and we have to make sure we get him right for the finals, so we will make a call on him in the morning."

NEWS: Walker is in excellent form heading into the finals, on the weekend in Round 22 he collected 25 possessions, 12 marks and 4.2 goals. Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson "He's still a kid, he's still learning so many things about the game. But gee he's exciting. Every time he's near the ball you hold your breath because you know anything can happen." Sanderson said Walker had had "a fantastic year — and he's in good form at the right time of year".

NEWS: In Round 19 against Essendon, Walker had a quiet first half, but showed strong character to come back out after half time and turn his game around with 4 goals and 2 vital marks in defence in the final 2 minutes to save the game. Teammate Aidan Riley told afc.com.au "Tex was a bit of a saviour tonight. He kicked four goals and then when we needed him went back and played loose in defence. He really helped us out back there and probably almost saved us the game."

NEWS: Walker picked Morris up off the ground and dumped him into the ground in a dangerous manner. The match review panel have offered him 3 matches for the incident. In summary, due to his previous poor record, his three-game sanction must remain at three matches, even with an early plea. This is a bad blow for the Crows with the key position forward in excellent form.

NEWS: Walker picked Morris up off the ground and slammed him into the ground head first. It will certainly be assessed by the match review panel this week. Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson is more optimistic saying "I think we will wait and see what happens but just live, I thought [it was a] fantastic tackle. The Richmond player bounced up and kept playing. I know we have to be aware of any head contact with the ground and I think if you asked Taylor, he says he has learnt his lesson on that one. I will have to wait and see a replay but I hope for the good of the game that he's okay."

NEWS: Walker has escaped suspension for a kick to the head in Round 13 against North Melbourne, but many believe he is drawing a fine line between intimidation and reckless behaviour. At the rate he is going this season unless he is asked to pull back on the way he plays, this will likely not be the last incident we hear about.
