Collingwood forward line coach Matthew Lappin said on Thursday morning "He had some extra investigative work done this morning and the docs just decided to give him one more week. NEWS: Pendlebury is still suffering from a cracked right tibia and has been ruled out of Collingwood's match on the weekend. Coach Nathan Buckley said on Tuesday at recovery "When you've got a commodity like that ... the club's responsibility is to look after its individuals as well as it possibly can, and to make sure that we're dealing with each individual on a case by case basis. The circumstances are that we'd love 'Pendles' to be playing but he's not right to go, he's too much of a risk and he won't take to the field until we believe that it's time for him and time for us."

NEWS: Geoff Walsh speaking about Pendlebury: "He had a scan this morning revealing a slight crack in the top of his tibia. He'll be on crutches for 3-4 days. Swan should be available this week. Swanny for Pendles, it's a fair swap." Collingwood are confident of Pendlebury returning after their Bye. 2 weeks for a broken bone seems very fast but they suggest it is minor.

NEWS: Pendlebury sustained a minor knee injury colliding with Gold Coast midfielder Josh Caddy in the opening minutes of the Round 10 victory. Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley said "He got through the first half and ultimately we thought we had control of the game, and we had planned to use our sub pretty close to half-time so that we could control some loading in a player or two. And we wanted to give 'Uges' a solid half of football. 'Pendles' obviously had that incident. He was able to run through it through the first half. We'll see how he recovers."

NEWS: Collingwood Coach Nathan Buckley said after the game "I didn't think he had the game on his terms at any time, which when you see his output, sounds counter-intuitive because his ability to influence the game was massive, especially in that last quarter.
