NEWS: Robbie Gray has asked Power fans to be patient with him as he takes a no-risk approach to his rehabilitation of a long-term knee injury.Gray, who tore the ACL in his right knee against Collingwood in round four last season, has begun running at a higher speed in the past fortnight - although still not at full pace - and tried changing direction. "It's stepped up a bit in the last couple of weeks," he said. "I still don't know when (my return is) going to be exactly, we'll just play it by ear and see how it goes.

NEWS: Gray had a knee reconstruction in April 2012 and has recently suffered nerve damage in his calf. Gray recently said "My knee's actually feeling really good now. But because of the nerve damage in my calf from the incident my leg faded away and I lost a lot of strength in the calf. So I need to be able to build my calf back up and get it strong enough to be able to run again. At the moment all I can do is a bit of jogging, so I have to work hard on building my strength and power back up.'' Gray is looking to return a month into the 2013 season.

NEWS: It's been 6 months since Gray suffered his knee injury and in October had began light running. New high performance manager Darren Burgess said "It's a serious injury and Robbie still has a lot of work ahead of him, so to even think about a return date, it's just far too soon."
| ||||
NEWS: Gray said on Tuesday "It's good to get it (the contract) done and I can just move on with my rehab now." Port Adelaide are clearly keen on keeping Gray at Port Adelaide and consider him vital to the future of the club.

NEWS: There is quite a bit of competition in the midfield at Port Adelaide, but it's expected Gray will push up the ground further in games this year, after working extremely hard on his fitness over pre-season. Gray is such a dangerous forward, you would think he will spend a lot more time inside the forward half than on the ball.
