Hot Dangerfield re-signs with the CrowsESN - Tue 29/5, 11:56AM
NEWS: Dangerfield has extended his contract with the Adelaide Crows for 3 years this week after speculation was mounting that he may head back to Victoria. Dangerfield said in the press conference "Being away from family is the biggest factor and that's the case with most interstate players. It (going home) comes into your calculations. It's a tough one because I've been away from mum and dad for a while. They miss me a fair bit ... and they would've loved for me to come back, but they love me playing over here as well. They love what the Club has given to me and how supportive they've been. Some people are closer to their families than others and I'm certainly close to mine, but you build a family over here almost with the camaraderie you have. I've come through at a time when we had a huge turnover of players.

Hot The new JuddESN - Sat 26/5, 3:41PM
NEWS: Matthews told AFL.com.au's Access All Areas that "I reckon the new Chris Judd in the competition is a guy (called) Patrick Dangerfield. He hasn't had the longevity, he's only started to do it the last six weeks, but he's gone into the midfield, he's big, he's strong and he's quick and he's powerful. That's a great combination. And what he can do is (what) not many can, (which) is what Judd could do, grab the ball (and) accelerate away from the congestion because he's got the leg-speed. He's certainly the next-generation Chris Judd. And he's tough."

Hot Dangerfield a serious weaponESN - Tue 22/5, 2:57PM
NEWS: Adelaide teammate Bernie Vince said on Monday "The contest with Murphy yesterday was unbelievable. He actually left himself pretty open, 'Danger' ... Murphy actually protected himself pretty well and for him to come off second best, I wouldn't have liked to have been in the middle of that. That was a pretty tough contest and for him to get up and just to continue on, he's like a bull. He's amazing." Dangerfield is fast becoming one of the most elite midfielders in the competition. His balance of outside and inside work leaves taggers with no case to answer, as they are currently being completely outclassed.

Hot Dangerfield will have plenty of attention in Round 6ESN - Thu 3/5, 4:29PM
NEWS: Sydney will not be taking Dangerfield for granted like Port Adelaide did in Round 5. Sydney Coach John Longmire is very aware of the influence Dangerfield can have on the game saying on Thursday before training that "The challenge with Dangerfield is that often when you're trying not to let him run free, he runs free anyway because he's so quick. It's a bit like Goodesy. You can try to have someone on him, but he has a burst of speed and he's so powerful that he can generate a five-metre gap with whoever he's on very quickly."
