NEWS: Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said "The return of Nat Fyfe, who's just brilliant isn't he? Gee whiz, I wasn't sure what to expect, but give me a few more Nat Fyfes and I'll coach a bit better. He's such a good contested ball winner and a monster athlete." Fyfe returned from shoulder surgery in Round 18 against Port Adelaide and was sensational collecting 26 possessions and at times surprisingly running free of an opponent.

NEWS: Fremantle ruckman Jon Griffin believes "He's been doing a lot of tackling and bumping and getting the shoulder right, so he's ready to go. He's probably one of our best clearance players and he's a strong competitor. He loves getting in and under - it's a strength of his - so it'll be great for him to come back. It's going to allow maybe (Stephen) Hill to be released a bit more, and (Ryan) Crowley to get a bit more of the footy. It's just another strength of our side and something for the opposition to worry about." Coach Ross Lyon told radio 6PR "He (Fyfe) was right to go last week in his mind, but we wanted to give him more work and make sure he really ticked all the boxes thoroughly. He'll play, that's how close he is."

NEWS: Fyfe is still questionable to return this weekend in Round 18 against Port Adelaide after recently not meeting parameters set in his running drills. Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said "He looks a million bucks but his first full training session back he didn't hit the parameters we would like him to hit running wise, so he was made aware of that. He had a much improved performance in our last training session, so that gave us a bit of an indicator. He'll need to deliver that again and again (this) week before he gets ticked off, so he's got a bit of work to do yet on proving that he can hit those thresholds."

NEWS: Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said of Fyfe "We got really good news off the surgeons over here [in Victoria]. He flew over, he's here today, [he] looks a million bucks, so we'll be setting him for round 18. I think he's a 'group one', I don't think we put him in the WAFL,"

NEWS: Fyfe is closing in on his return from a shoulder injury for the Dockers. Fremantle Coach Ross Lyon recently said "Nat Fyfe is absolutely tearing the house down with work, but he'll be [returning in] round 18, if that."
| ||||
NEWS: Fyfe told AFL.com.au "I know how up in the air injuries can be and how things can change really quickly, so round 18 is my rough goal. Either side of that would be quite handy. I'm really lucky that I have a chance to come back. Having that goal in mind really is going to stimulate me and help me in my rehab. I'm really keen to get back and play, but I'll just have to take it as it comes. I'll definitely grow in some ways from this injury."

NEWS: Fyfe re injured his shoulder at training this week and Fremantle had already said if he aggravated it again, he would be operated on. General manager of football operations Chris Bond said "We believe that the appropriate course of action for Nat's long-term playing future and his general well being is to have the operation at this time. Based on the advice of our medical team, we envisage that Nat will require a recovery and rehabilitation period of about 12 weeks, which would make him available for selection in the latter part of the season."

NEWS: On Tuesday Fyfe was training in a match simulation drill and has suffered another knock to his shoulder and walked off the field. Expect Fyfe to be questionable to play in Round 6.

NEWS: Fyfe returned from a shoulder injury in Round 5 after missing Round 4 and was able to contribute. NEWS: It is looking like Fyfe will play this weekend in Round 4, as he trained in full on Wednesday. Ross Lyon told Channel 7 in Perth last night."We're really confident he'll play. We'll get a second opinion in Melbourne and make a final decision but Nat's really confident, we are, and we expect him to play unless the surgeon says it's necessary for him to have surgery."
