They are obviously close to winning the flag and think he has a role to play. He is a rebounding half back flanker, so we assume he will take Leon Davis's role. He has been 2 years out of the game (playing Gaelic football mind you). When he began his AFL career in 2007 as a 19 year old, he didn't get named in the seniors until Round 12. Given the circumstances and his experience though, it seems they will roll the dice with him come Round 1, after playing well in the final NAB Cup round. Cash Cow Proposition: Clarke is a left foot, endurance running, forward tagging, Irish. His final hitout in the NAB Cup last week was rewarded with 86% Game Time and a likely spot in the Best 21.
