NEWS: In Round 6 against Gold Coast Spurr cam on as the Sub and still contributed in his little time, but really pushed to hold down a position on the weekend in his second game against Port Adelaide in Round 7. He said after the game that "I played mainly on the wing and then pushed down back. I got involved in some spread and also had a bit of time up forward as a defensive forward, putting the pressure on at the stoppages."

2012 OutlookESN - Wed 21/3, 11:18PM
NEWS: Spurr is a mature aged recruit who has been racking up plenty of possessions for SANFL powerhouse club the Central Districts. The Bulldogs have won plenty of flags over the past decade with Spurr in their side. Spurr averaged 22 possessions and 7 marks a game last season. He has a terrific overhead mark, courageous and knows how to find the ball across half back. Cash Cow Potential: Still Rookie Listed, but if he is elevated, look out. In the final NAB Cup hitout he played 80% Game Time for 70DT. He looks a real show for Round 1 selection. This is a 2012 outlook article.
