NEWS: Brisbane have gone public on their interest in Adelaide spearhead Kurt Tippett. Brisbane have lost Mitch Clark, Brent Staker for the entire season with a knee injury, and Jonathan Brown is approaching retirement. Tippett is exactly what they need. Football manager Dean Warren said "We made it very clear our intentions during trade week last year and our views haven't changed. My understanding is he's really enjoying his footy in Adelaide this year with a new coach and they're going very, very well. If we get to the end of the year [and he's still not signed] we'd certainly be asking questions come trade week again whether he'd be interested in coming to our footy club."

NEWS: Tippett had 4.2 just several minutes into the 2nd quarter in Round 12 against St Kilda. They simply did not have an answer for his huge frame and rested several opponents on him for the remainder of the game. It subsequently opened up the game for other Crow forwards. Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson said "Tippo was on fire early, wasn't he? He kicked two early, if he'd kicked four straight who knows. I hoped he was going to kick a bag tonight - five's still a great result for him... I'm really happy with his effort."

NEWS: Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson recently said "I love the way 'Tippo' plays, because he never plays for frees. Quite often he gets his arms chopped, but he hasn't quite learned that art yet of, you see those guys who fling their bodies back or they pull an arm back, but he just plays the ball every time. The umpire should just pay them ... [but] sometimes he's probably got to learn how to make the umpires aware that he's getting scragged or taken high."
