NEWS: Drummond made his return to football on the weekend in the Brisbane Lion Reserves. He simply wanted to get through the game without any issues. Reserves Coach Nathan Clarke believes "Drummo was a class above I thought, particularly early on when he was energetic." Drummond will play at AFL level early in the season.
| ||||
NEWS: Drummond's return to AFL football will be dictated by how he responds in the coming few weeks.
| ||||
NEWS: He may return through the Reserves and not NAB Cup action. It is still unknown if Drummond will be ready for Round 1 of the AFL season, or if he will return through the Reserves and push back for senior selection in the coming few early rounds. He is recovering from off-season hip surgery.

NEWS: Drummond had off season surgery on his hip and it is taking much longer to recover than expected. His fitness base is not where it needs to be at this stage. He will likely play some games before Round 1, but not feature in the Round 1 team.
| ||||
NEWS: If you think Drummond is going to play a full season this year then you are kidding yourself. At 28, we think its time you let this guy go and concentrate on players who are less likely to burn you. If he plays the first 10 games straight with a 90s+ average in SuperCoach we will be open to discussion as an upgrade premium. | This is a 2012 outlook article.
| ||||
NEWS: In 2011 he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee shutting him down for the season and then in pre-season had further surgery to repair his hip. He is now feeling confident he can have a successful 2012 after training for a few weeks. Don't hold your breath and forgive us if his confidence doesn't shower us with confidence.

NEWS: Drummond was a welcome inclusion into the Lions side in Round 21 with his last game for them coming in Round 13. He had 56DT/97SC. He is such a better SuperCoach player and the opposition know it! They just can't afford to let him use the ball as much as other players.

NEWS: 15 disposals with 13 by foot in his customary designated kicker role running off Stanley... also 5 marks
