NEWS: Cameron has added another string to his bow, spending time in defence as well as forward in the first 2 games of AFL football. He was terrific on the weekend, especially in the 3rd term kicking 3 goals and helping his side sow some respect. Cameron said after the game "I've played most of my football up forward so I really enjoy playing up forward, but when I get a role down back I take that on board and learn from that as well. Today I played down back a little bit and (the ball) came in a fair bit so it was quite difficult, but hopefully I'd like to play up forward in the future."

NEWS: We liken Cameron to Tom Lynch last year in his first season. Cameron is a key forward who's chances of playing Round 1 have taken a big improvement with the news of Patton being out until May. Cameron was another of Greater Western Sydney's pre-selections, and has gone under the radar. Truth be told, Cameron could have easily been featuring in the Top 10 Draft picks, if it wasn't for the pre-selection. At 6'4" and 90kgs, we are all aware that key forwards take longer to develop. He can take a strong contested mark and is quite agile for his size. He kicked 19 goals in 12 games playing for GWS in the QAFL. But we doubt he can go above the 50-60 point range in either fantasy format. The ball just won't be down that end enough and he will have defenders like he has never seen before. Cash Cow Potential: An ok option. Will play, is lively, but is a key position forward. | This is a 2012 outlook article.
