NEWS: Jason Porplyzia told afc.com.au "I think I'm still building to my best form. [Rounds one and two] were basically the first two games I'd played in 18 months. I'm still adjusting and I have noticed a bit of a step up in the games from [when I last played a full season in] 2010."

NEWS: Porplyzia was ready to go last season with 5 games remaining, but was shutdown with finals out of the picture. He had a troublesome year with a shoulder injury in Round 1 and then plantar fascia in May. He is an expensive Cash Cow, but at 27 years old, we know who he is. A 70-80 average in both formats of the game which will still give you a nice profit and you can play him. Plus he is a Forward. Porplyzia has been suffering from a calf injury over the NAB Cup, which has limited his game time, but he did return a solid 84DT in the 3rd Round against Collingwood, kicking 4 goals. Cash Cow Potential: He certainly needs to be considered. No question marks here on being in the Best 22. But he does seem injury prone. | This is a 2012 outlook article.

NEWS: Porplyzia returned in impressive fashion. He was subbed in at Half Time and played a very strong game, indicating he will be ready for Round 1. He finished with 16 possessions and 4 marks for 53 Dream Team points. He certainly looks viable as a mid-price forward option that you can play and still profit from.

NEWS: Porplyzia is the strongest Adelaide Crow in the weights room. In particular winning out in the bench press and squat strength training. Sanderson believes he would come close to being the strongest player in the AFL on a power-to-weight ratio

NEWS: Porplyzia has been suffering from a corked calf, but will likely train in full this week, and have his first hitout for the year in the NAB Cup on the weekend.

NEWS: Porplyzia is suffering from plantar fascia and had surgery today. This is certainly not an ideal injury while he is in rehab for his shoulder. Planter fascia tends to linger deep into seasons.
