Akermanis kept mostly quiet - Sat 6/8, 4:05PM
NEWS: Jason Akermanis was tagged by Tyson Stenglein in round 16 against the Eagles and apart from a burst in the third quarter by Aker, Stenglein did a fairly good job. Akermanis finished with 21 disposals, five marks, five tackles and a missed shot at goal. After two dominating performances in round 13 and 14, Akermanis's production has settled back into something resembling normality. He is still worth putting in your team every week.

Akermanis inaccurate - Sat 30/7, 5:00PM
NEWS: Jason Akermanis could not repeat the five-goal bags he had earned in the previous two games in round 15 against Collingwood, kicking two goals and missing five other chances from his 21 disposals and five marks. Akermanis is still in irresistable form, and the fact that he had seven shots on goal indicates that he is still capable fo breaking out for match-winning fantasy performances.

Hot It's the wet Aker show - Sat 16/7, 5:00PM
NEWS: Jason Akermanis put on a wet weather football clinic in round 13 against the Cats, with arguably the best game of his career. He compiled 35 hard-won disposals, made nine tackles and booted five goals, two of which came within two minutes of each other, both running towards the boundary in the pocket and causing huge roars from the partisan Lions crowd.  Akermanis can look like a flashy outside running player at times, but his work in and under is what won him his Brownlow Medal and when he puts his mind to it, he can be as damaging as anyone in the competition. It was truly a fantasy-filled performance.
