NEWS: Ziebell was subbed out of Round 9 with bruising but they would not say where the injury is. North Melbourne coach Brad Scott said "He was just very sore from last week. [It was a] great effort to get up to play [against the Lions] but by halfway through the third quarter he looked so sore we just decided to sub him out. He won't tell anyone he's not right to go, we have to make that call for him. It's literally just bruising. Go back and have a look at the clips of him last week and you'll know why he's bruised."

NEWS: Ziebell will be on a special program in the coming few weeks due to last year's suspension being in place, which means he will miss the opening 2 Rounds of the premiership season. He has been in good form over pre-season and is likely frustrated that he can't start playing until Round 3.

NEWS: After the appointment of Ziebell as Vice Captain, Brad Scott has gone further to say, Ziebell picked himself and although playing a string of strong games late last year, is far from reaching his potential. It's noted that Ziebell is in fact a great leader, however, there is more at play here with Ziebell's contract expiring at year end, and he is certainly on Greater Western Syndey's radar.

NEWS: Ziebell is ready to go in season 2012 after showing glimpses of the damage he is capable of running through the North Melbourne midfield last year. In 2011 many questioned his endurance and it was believed his fitness was not at AFL level. It seems Ziebell is in line for a strong season ahead.

NEWS: Ziebell is a classy onballer and really opened up his game late in 2012 averaging 108 a game in his final 6 games in Dream Team, not including an injury in Round 22. We think he has the skill set to take his game to the next level. North Melbourne have high hopes for this youngster. He resembles a similar skill set of Jobe Watson, where he is not overly quick, but makes very good decisions that can open up games. Do we think he can average 100 a game in 2012? Yes. Its feasible. He may even be a better SuperCoach player. | This is a 2012 outlook article.

NEWS: Ziebell has showed signs from an early age of potentially being an exceptional leader in the future, but he is only 21 years of age. The suggestion is with Harvey at 33 years of age, they bring in Ziebell, with Harvey acting as a mentor to him before he retires.

NEWS: His break out late in 2011 suggests this kid has loads of potential at only 20 years of age but his fitness needs to improve. Only playing 60 - 70% of gate time in comparison to Andrew Swallow who is on the field for around 80% of game time.
