NEWS: In the round 8 win to the Kangaroos Hamish McIntosh struggled against Eagles ruck powerhouse Dean Cox, teaming up with David Hale for 30 hit-outs to Cox's 31, but failing to match the West Coast ruck's dominance around the ground. McIntosh picked up 11 possessions to Cox's 24. | McIntosh, while remaining competitive in the ruck, is not having enough impact around the ground to satisfy fantasy football coaches. Fellow Kangaroo ruck David Hale picked up 10 marks and kicked 3 goals against the Eagles, a feat McIntosh needs to match if he wishes to cement a spot among the games premier ruckmen. After showing much promise in 2007 with well-rounded efforts, McIntosh needs to pick up more possessions and take more marks up forward and around the ground to join the likes of Dean Cox and Jeff White. | |||
