NEWS: Hartlett sustained a hamstring injury in the final quarter in Round 12 against the Western Bulldogs and coach Matthew Primus believes Hartlett will miss 4-5 weeks due to the injury. This is a sad blow to Port Adelaide, with Hartlett having a history of soft tissue injuries. Hartlett has also in recent weeks returned into the Port Adelaide midfield after playing most of the start of the season across half back. With Boak still suffering from a foot problem, Port Adelaide will be thin through the midfield in the coming few weeks.

NEWS: Port Adelaide Coach Matthew Primus has demanded more of Hartlett and asked him to lift in the coming weeks, saying "We need him to develop quickly... Hamish is certainly not happy where he's at at the moment." Hartlett has been playing as a loose defender all season thus far and at times has been quite instrumental in setting up the teams drive off the half back line. However in recent weeks opposition teams has become aware of this and set up forward tags on Hartlett which he has struggled to shake so far.
