NEWS: Wells came on in the 3rd quarter and lined up across half forward. He was quite productive finishing with 41 points. This will be an incredible recovery if Wells is able to play Round 1. | ||||

NEWS: As suggested yesterday, Wells will make a surprise return to football this weekend, after Doctors gave him the go ahead to begin training 2 weeks ago in contact drills. | ||||

NEWS: Wells has been on medication for blood thinning over the off-season after medical staff found blood clots on his lungs when operating on his shoulder. It was suggested he would not be taken off the medication until Round 1 of the season, which would push his season return several more weeks back. But the Doctors have granted Wells permission to resume training and stop the medication early. | ||||

NEWS: He was scheduled in for minor shoulder surgery after North Melbourne lost in Round 23 and were effectively closed off from any finals chance. If they were to have won, Wells would have certainly played in Round 24. After the minor operation the Doctor found Wells had blood clots in both lungs which are very serious. | ||||
