NEWS: Connors manager, Anthony McConville, from Mac's Sports, said yesterday "Daniel is very remorseful for the situation that has occurred, but he needs to work out whether he wants to fight on and play again. No decision has been made yet as to his future. At this stage he is collecting himself from the fallout. I suppose in the next few weeks we will be better advised about whether he has the commitment to take his football to the highest level he can."

NEWS: Channel Nine's The Footy Show reported on Thursday night that Martin and Connors partied on Monday, returning to Connors' house at 10pm where the fun continued until about 2am when they both took sleeping tablets. In the morning assistant coach Wayne Campbell drove to Connors' house and knocked on the door. Richmond coach Damian Hardwick had a meeting with both Connors and Martin and according to Nine, the conversation between Connors and Hardwick became so heated that they had to be restrained.
| ||||
NEWS: Connors has been let go by the Richmond Tigers after a Strike 3 undiclosed off-field incident. If you own him, its time to let him go. He is no longer on an AFL list, let alone playing at lower level.
| ||||
NEWS: Just when you thought Connors was past all his personal issues and ready to go full tilt at his football, another announcement comes through suggesting punishment is on its way from the Richmond football club. Richmond are expected to soon give out a sanction for his social behaviour in recent weeks. Just like Fevola, Connors is very talented but just can't seem to get his head together.

NEWS: On after HT for King. Started as a sub. | Connors contributed with 5 touches, 2 tackles and 1.1.

NEWS: Connors has been credited for his Round 12 performance on the weekend, as he works to restore faith to his club. He ended up kicking 3 goals for the game which included 2 vital goals in the final quarter to setup the victory for Richmond. Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said "He started off slow, but credit to Daniel, he fought his way through the conditions. It's been a real credit to him that he's fought his way back into the side. He had to earn the trust of the playing group and coaching staff again and he's done that. It's a great reward for him to kick three in the end he made a really solid contribution defensively. He put his game forward and will certainly be part of the short-term future at the moment with the games coming up."

NEWS: Connors has returned to AFL football after a year out of the game. Connors was banished from the club for three months for "bad decisions" he made while drinking. Connors admitting he "needed to go and change the way I was living my life". His return to AFL after a strong past few weeks at VFL level will give him the opportunity he would have hoped for, to cement a spot in the Best-22.
| ||||
NEWS: 3.1 from 12 possessions and 6 marks on Cornes including two in the last four minutes to ice the game
| ||||
NEWS: This will be interesting to view. If he does in fact play in the forward lines and not across his previously very fantasy friendly half back flank, you will not see Conners in many teams this year.
| ||||
NEWS: Unfortunately, he won't be repaying any fantasy owners with news breaking that he has been training with the Forward line. He may well be a lively forward, but it's unlikely he will be fantasy relevant. He made a living in 2010 across the half back line picking up plenty of cheap possessions.
| ||||
NEWS: After a breakout 2010 season, he couldn't get on the field in 2011 with injuries getting the better of him. We suggest he is in line for a bounce back season and is heavily undervalued. In 2010 he played the loose half back role with Deledio perfectly and carved out huge possessions. He has the ability to recapture that form. Monitor his NAB Cup. Disclaimer: He has only recently returned from a 12 game suspension for lifestyle issues. I.e. He drinks to much. | This is a 2012 outlook article.
| ||||
NEWS: Connors was suspended from the club during trade week last year for what the club suggested socially unacceptable behaviour. Basically Connors has issues with alcohol and has been having counselling to deal with the issue. He was suspended back in 2010 for the same issue, so this is nothing new. We suspect 3 strikes and he is out. If he makes bad choices again this year, his AFL football career will end.
| ||||
NEWS: He could potentially be included into Richmonds senior side this weekend. He has been suffering from a quad injury for several weeks now.
| ||||
NEWS: Conners has been a complete let down this season. Even before injury he was scoring poorly. He should not be owned in any format.
| ||||
NEWS: 14 disposals including 11 kicks on Suckling | Connors added 3 tackles and 4 frees against.
