Cold Sore Sore Tarrant looks out of touch - Sat 30/7, 5:05PM
NEWS: After spending several days in Byron Bay on a coach-directed holiday in Queensland, Chris Tarrant returned to AFL action with a terrible performance, kicking only one goal from 12 possessions and six marks, but looking almost as disinterested as Brendan Fevola the previous week, giving away three silly free kicks. Tarrant has apparently been playing with a cyst in his knee, an ailment that will probably require surgery post-season. In the mean time, his body language is awful and he looks like he wants to get back to the surf and away from footy. If you have any other hopefuls sitting on your bench, now is the time to drop Tarrant from your team.

Cold Poor signs for Tarrant - Fri 15/7, 5:00PM
NEWS: Chris Tarrant looked disinterested at times and showed some bad body language in the round 14 win over Port Adelaide, only managing a single goal from his 11 possessions.  Although Collingwood are flying, Tarrant seems to be caught between being a forward and wanting to play more in the midfield, and not doing well at either at the moment. His form will return eventually.

Sore Tarrant injury cloud lifts - Mon 28/2, 9:23PM
NEWS: Collingwood assistant coach Neil Balme gave an optimistic assessment of Chris Tarrant's injury status, saying he might even be fit to play some of the remaining practice matches. "He's got a bit of groin soreness, but it's not too bad," Balme told AFL.com.au. This is great news for the Pies, who sorely need him to be fit and firing across half forward. Barring further incident, Tarrant should be safe to draft in early rounds, with the proviso that he probably won't set the world on fire in the first couple of weeks.

Injured Injury hits Tarrant again - Sun 27/2, 6:42AM
NEWS: Chris Tarrant will miss at least the rest of the preseason to undergo rehabilitation on a strained groin, according to Injuryupdate. Sportal quoted coach Mick Malthouse as saying Tarrant is also suffering from back problems. Tarrant spent much of last season battling hamstring injuries, so this is bad news. His familiar combination of hamstring, groin and back injuries may well keep his performances under par agin in 2005. Draft with caution.

Hot Tarrant back on form - Sun 20/2, 1:31AM
NEWS: Chris Tarrant showed no signs of the hamstring troubles that hampered his 2004 campaign in compiling 15 possessions, 10 marks and two goals, although he also kicked four behinds. The new Craig Starcevich-esque haircut didn't hurt either. He will be picked up in the first or second round of most drafts on that form.
