NEWS: Western Bulldogs will be playing in an intra-club match and Lake is expected to play a half of football. This will be our first indication as to if Lake is going to make some noise this year in fantasy land.
| ||||
NEWS: Lake basically ticks all the boxes of why he fell away. Age, Injury riddled pre-season, coming off a career best season and difficulties with confidence. Bang. Down he fell. We hope he can get to his best in 2012. He is in fact a very talented football player. | This is a 2012 outlook article.
| ||||
NEWS: It's been decided he must slim down to keep his speed and fitness at a level to play AFL football. We are not 100% convinced on this. He is an enormously talented player who had a terrible run of injury and confidence issues last season. He was a very important player for them in the 2010 finals push, so lets hope he finds his best form again.
| ||||
NEWS: His Coach thinks he can. Backing the 2010 All Australian to find his best once more. He has had an uninterrupted pre season and trying to reach peak fitness before Round 1.
| ||||
NEWS: His year has finally come to an end and we think even Lake will have a sigh of relief. His knee has continued to cause problems and will need surgery to fix. Expect him to be fit and firing come the beggining of pre season.
| ||||
NEWS: He hasn't been playing fantastic at lower level but you would expect a call up sooner rather than later either way. They have actually been playing him forward, and he may even return to AFL as a forward, but eventually he is going to have to move back if the Bulldogs are to be competitive in September.
| ||||
NEWS: On the weekend Lake got hit in the eye. He had to leave at half time & found to have a scratch. Its unknown if he will be able to play this weekend at any level.
| ||||
NEWS: this is a sad season for both Lake and the Western Bulldogs.
| ||||
NEWS: Lake will not play in Western Bulldogs Round 12 match against St Kilda. He is apparently having some groin issues. Can you believe he was All Australian last year. He has really missed the boat this year. Out of touch & & unfit. If you were hoping he could be a terrific upgrade candidate this year, put those thoughts on hold.
| ||||
NEWS: The All Australian is in career worst form. He is unfit, out of touch & not reading the play. They moved him forward in the second half, & it looks like they don't know what to do with him. He had 9 possessions, 3 marks & 3 goals, for 43DT/49SC. He shouldn't be owned in any format at this stage. You need to wait to see something before you look at him as an upgrade candidate.

| ||||
NEWS: On Roughead... 11 possessions and 3 tackles. Late replacement for Hargrave. | Lake also had 2 marks.
