Nathan G. Brown, Richmond Forward
Injured Brown gets unlucky breaksSat 11/6, 7:05PM
NEWS: Nathan G. Brown broke both the tibia and fibula in his right leg in the last quarter of the match against Melbourne in round 10, putting him out for the rest of the season. He had 18 possessions, five marks and two goals for the game. This is not only horrible luck for this season for Brown and the Tigers, the break was so bad that it might put into question his ability to come back to AFL at all. Brown showed very little of what must have been a huge amount of pain he was experiencing.

Beau Waters, West Coast Back
Injured Waters out until round 19Sat 4/6, 5:53PM
NEWS: Beau Waters still has hope of playing this season after undergoing surgery to heal him of the dreaded osteitis pubis. He is on the Eagles' long-term injury list but injuryupdate.com.au projects his return as round 19. Waters was tipped by some as a potentially big fantasy improver this year. Even if he does return from injury this year, it would not excite fantasy coaches.

Brad Smith, West Coast Forward
Injured Brad Smith out for seasonSat 4/6, 5:50PM
NEWS: Bradley Smith will miss the entire season after doing his knee in the pre-season. After kicking a ton in the WAFL last season, this is a bitter blow for Smith .

Andrew Lee, Essendon Back
Injured OP puts Lee out of actionThu 31/3, 8:36PM
NEWS: The dreaded chronic groin inury, osteitis pubis, has cost Andrew Lee his place on the Bombers' senior list, with Nathan Lovett-Murray replacing him. Lee will not feature in any fantasy coaches' plans this season.

Brad Fisher, Carlton Forward
Injured B. Fisher out indefinitelyThu 31/3, 6:53AM
NEWS: Brad Fisher will take enough time to recover for the cruciate ligament injury he suffered in round 18 of 2004 to have him specified as "indefinite" on the Carlton injury report. Fisher was barely on the fantasy radar last year, and will not be considered this year.

Richard Hadley, Carlton Midfielder
Injured Hadley out for a duckThu 17/3, 8:51PM
NEWS: Richard Hadley ruptured the AC ligament of his left knee in a practice match against Richmond and will have to undergo surgery that will end his season. Hadley had just come off a good preseason game the week before, so this is horrible news. He's off the fantasy radar for this year.

Daniel Motlop, Port Adelaide Forward
Injured D. Motlop out until JulyThu 17/3, 7:30PM
NEWS: Daniel Motlop will miss around 16 weeks recovering from surgery to reconstruct a shoulder injured in the course of several preseason games, putting him out until at least July according to afl.com.au. Motlop will spend time back home in Darwin during his recovery, so hopefully his mind will be focused on football again when he returns. Fantasy coaches should only consider drafting him when news of his return is imminent.

Tom Davidson, Western Bulldogs Forward
Injured Davidson demotedThu 17/3, 7:14PM
NEWS: Tom Davidson has been dropped from the Magpies' senior list to the long-term injury list so that he can heal his chronic Achilles tendon injury. Davidson could be back after his minimum eight-week layoff, but he has allowed David Fanning a chance to replace him permanently on the senior list.

David Rodan, Melbourne Midfielder
Injured Rodan out for seasonMon 28/2, 1:44AM
NEWS: David Rodan has ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the entire 2005 season, according to Sportal. The injury happened in a preseason match in Morwell. Terrible luck for this exciting fourth-year player, who would have been in a good position to take a big load of work in the Richmond midfield this year. This will give some of the Tigers' youngsters a chance, however.
