Matthew Bode, Adelaide Midfielder
Injured Bode out injured until 2006Thu 21/7, 6:49PM
NEWS: Matthew Bode fractured his collarbone in the SANFL during round 14 and will not play again this season. Bode had only two games before going down with injury the first time.

Rhyce Shaw, Sydney Back
Injured Rhyce Shaw ruptures kneeSat 2/7, 7:05PM
NEWS: Rhyce Shaw suffered a knee injury in round 12 against Melbourne which was later diagnosed as a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, putting an end to his season. He had five possessions for the game. This is tragic for Shaw, one of the game's more maligned players who had looked to turn the corner this year and had established himself in the Pies' best 22. He should be a good pick-up in fantasy drafts next year.

Robert Haddrill, Fremantle Back
Injured Haddrill adds to Freo woesWed 22/6, 9:29PM
NEWS: Robert Haddrill has chosen to undergo reconstructive surgery on his ankle to correct an injury that has seen him play only three of 13 games this year. No fantasy coach would have had Haddrill in their side, but this consigns the Fremantle defence to further woes with David Mundy being among more than a dozen injured Dockers.

Mark Stevens, Adelaide Forward
Mark Stevens pulls the plugWed 22/6, 6:45PM
NEWS: Citing the constancy of his injuries, Mark Stevens not only consigned the rest of 2005 to history, but also his career, saying he would retire. Stevens' best fantasy years were 2001 and 2002, but it's a long time since he has graced any serious fantasy side.

Tom Williams, Western Bulldogs Forward
Injured Tom Williams cracks ankleTue 14/6, 2:28PM
NEWS: Tom Williams will miss the rest of the season after surgery to pin a fracture in his fibula bone, according to injuryupdate.com.au. The former rugby union player will have to wait to play his first official senior AFL game.

Luke Darcy, Western Bulldogs Ruck
Injured Knee puts Darcy out for '05Tue 14/6, 2:26PM
NEWS: Luke Darcy ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in the round 6 game against Geelong and will miss the rest of the season. Darcy had been having an excellent year, so this is poor luck. Fantasy coaches will look at him seriously as a top draft pick next year if he recovers normally.

Stephen Doyle, Sydney Ruck
Injured Doyle out for seasonTue 14/6, 2:23PM
NEWS: Stephen Doyle will miss the rest of the 2005 season after succumbing to knee and ankle injuries. Doyle will have to work hard to force his way back into the Swans side with Darren Jolly supporting Jason Ball admirably in the ruck this year.

Elijah Ware, Port Adelaide Midfielder
Injured Elijah Ware to miss 2005Tue 14/6, 2:17PM
NEWS: Elijah Ware will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL playing in the SANFL in round 4. Ware will have to wait for '06 to play his first AFL game.

Blake Grima, North Melbourne Midfielder
Injured Shoulder reco outs GrimaTue 14/6, 2:15PM
NEWS: Blake Grima will miss the rest of 2005 after undergoing a shoulder reconstruction after the round 5 match against Hawthorn. Grima had not been setting the world on fire before that. His 2004 campaign was hampered by hamstring injury, so he hasn't had much luck.

Robert Campbell, Melbourne Ruck
Injured Slow rehab for R. CampbellTue 14/6, 2:09PM
NEWS: Robert Campbell is havign what injuryupdate.com.au describes as a "slow rehab" from the knee meniscal tear he suffered in round 1, and his return is listed as indefinite. Simon Taylor looks to have supplanted Campbell as the #2 ruckman at the Hawks, so Campbell's future is not looking great.

Angelo Lekkas, Hawthorn Forward
Injured Lekkas out indefinitelyTue 14/6, 2:07PM
NEWS: No return date has been set for Angelo Lekkas to recover this season from the stroke he suffered in the pre-season. Lekkas will most likely be kept in cotton wool at Glenferrie, and may even retire at the end of the season.

David Wojcinski, Geelong Back
Injured Wojcinski out for seasonTue 14/6, 2:05PM
NEWS: David Wojcinski will not reappear in 2005 after rupturing his ACL in round 2 against West Coast. Wojcinski will be a sleeper in next year's fantasy drafts.

Tim Golds, Collingwood Back
Injured Ramanauskas' 2005 overTue 14/6, 2:02PM
NEWS: Adam Ramanauskas will not return this season from an injury mishap at training before round 4, according to injuryupdate.com.au. After recovering from cancer, Ramanauskas seemingly can't take a trick. He had not figured highly this year in fantasy coaches' thinking in any case.

Adrian Deluca, Carlton Forward
Injured De Luca to miss season?Tue 14/6, 1:56PM
NEWS: Adrian De Luca will not return from the foot stress fracture injury which cropped up during round 11 until at least round 19 and maybe not at all in 2005, according to injuryupdate.com.au. De Luca had been having an average season as it was. He will not feature in any further fantasy calculations.

Beau McDonald, Brisbane Ruck
Injured McDonald out indefinitelyTue 14/6, 1:52PM
NEWS: Injuryupdate.com.au is now reporting that Beau McDonald is out indefinitely after post-season reconstructive surgery to repair chronic problems in a post-cruciate ligament injury. McDonald will be highly unlikely to force his way back into the Lions line-up this season ahead of Charman, McLaren and Keating.
