New/old Blue Eddie Betts made it official in November by handing over his number 18 Crows jersey to Tyson Stengle, as if it wasn't already obvious that the youngster was being groomed to take his forward pocket spot in the Adelaide team. Stengle played most of 2019 at SANFL level, booting 36.24 from 19 matches at a fantasy rate of 67 with 2.5 tackles per appearance.Everything is set up for Stengle to take Eddie's mantle, but is he anywhere near as good? Four senior games across three listed years at two clubs makes it too hard to tell if he can translate his lower level form to the big league. Eddie himself took six years to lift his fantasy average beyond the forward baseline, and even if Stengle breaks out he's not going to be startable yet. -
