Nathan van Berlo achilles injury

Crows captain Nathan van Berlo has had surgery after rupturing an achilles tendon, putting him out for at least 12 weeks according to Nine News in Adelaide. Could this be the injury that sets up Adelaide’s season, as did Ryan Schoenmakers’ injury last year for the Hawks?

This is the first example of the shorter blog post style I will be doing more of this year. Hopefully these sort of posts will lead to many comments!

Knowing your thoughts on The Cobbler, are you trying to say that van Berlo was holding the Crows back?

Some Crow fans, and others, may have held that view in the past, Molly.

I’m asking your view! PS. The Cobbler will be a huge addition this year! #LeaguesBestSwingMan

It’s not just NVB, but it’s the whole cadre of midfielders other than ST, Danger and Rory. Mackay, the departed Vince, even Douglas though he had a better year in 2013… they haven’t been good enough in support. The second and third rotations have let them down. Matt Rendell knew how to recruit talls but he did less well with some of the smalls.
