After a relatively tight first half, the Brisbane Lions turned on the heat in a rainy affair at the Gabba, as Jason Akermanis stole the show with a virtuoso five-goal performance that belied the greasy conditions. The Cats looked tired, sore and off the pace - definitely in need of the holiday over the split round break.
