The Cats launch off half back through the bounding O’Connor. The Irishmen darts the long kick and finds Hawkins on the lead ahead of Rampe. He misses from 50 on the flank. (Q1 1:32)
Sydney attack down the wing through Jones, sending the pill long to the Reid/O’Connor match up. Sam receives the free for holding and misses the set shot from 35 on the flank. (Q1 5:18)
The Swans enter the forward 50 via a series of short passes, resulting in Ronke taking an uncontested mark. Ben lines up from 40 on the slight and gifts the game its first goal! (Q1 7:12)
