The Saints break quickly from the first bounce. It ends up with Bruce after receiving from Billings. Bruce misses left from 25m out under pressure. (Q1 1:37)
Grigg bombs it out of defence but Carlisle takes the intercept mark. He finds Riewoldt. Roo gets a 50m penalty for an off the ball free given away by Rance. Nick slots it. (Q1 3:34)
A fast breaking Saints outfit transitions the footy from Newnes to Bruce who takes the mark 40m. Josh has started well and makes no mistake with this kick. (Q1 6:17)
Cotchin gets pinged for a questionable deliberate out of bounds. He then gives away a 50m and gets reported for a little stomach punch on Lonie. Lonie kicks the easiest of goals. (Q1 9:02)
Some last second pressure from McIntosh forces Bruce’s quick kick to go just wide from the top of the goalsquare. (Q1 17:02)
Castagna, Grigg, and then Cotchin who snaps from 30 out, directly in front. The skipper gets his team’s first for the day. (Q1 18:32)
Prestia takes the sliding mark on a slight angle. From 35m out he pushes it wide. (Q1 19:34)
A good pick-up from Menadue in the Tigers’ forward 50 gives the storming Eliis an opportunity, but he can’t convert. (Q1 22:01)
Lonie crumbs a pack in the forward pocket and cleverly snaps a pass to Billings at the top of the square. Billings adds to the Saints’ dominant first quarter with a goal. (Q1 23:32)
Membrey stands tall and takes the marks between two Richmond jumpers. He moves quickly and spots up Gresham 30m out in front. Another goal for the Saints. (Q1 26:02)
Martin bombs it forward from the centre square. It clears a 1-on-1 and lands in Caddy’s lap. Caddy sprays it and his the behind post. OOF. (Q1 28:17)
Longer is the benefactor of a free kick for holding the man against Nankervis after a short boundary throw in. On a slight angle 40m out, Billy splits the middle. (Q2 2:39)
Amongst a pack of 5 or 6, Nick Riewoldt somehow marks the footy. From 25m out the champ does what he does best and slots it. (Q2 4:37)
Bruce does the roving off a pack. For the second time tonight he misses a simple shot running into goal. Elected to dribble it along the ground. (Q2 6:10)
Another one on the board for the Saints. With not one but two sidesteps, Koby Stevens kicks a fantastic snap goal from 35m, alluding the Cotchin pressure. (Q2 7:40)
An errant Martin kick in the middle of the ground is intercepted by Gilbert. The footy end up with Montagna who roosts it from 50m on the run. Saints on fire! (Q2 8:40)
Jack takes a shot from 50m after getting taken high. Somehow the ball clears the players on the line but unfortunately for the Tigers only goes through for a minor score. (Q2 9:41)
Membrey puts the Saints 54 points up at just 11 minutes into the second quarter. His set shot from 45 came after a smart kick from Sinclair. (Q2 11:12)
The Saints continue their domination with a centre clearance that ends up in Jack Steven’s hands. On the run from 50m his shot goes wide. (Q2 12:11)
Jack Steven takes a one-handed grab inside 50, he quickly hands it off the Billings who spots up Bruce. On a tight angle Bruce misses again. (Q2 15:56)
Bruce makes up for his last miss with a beautiful handball to Koby Stevens running into an open goal. The TIgers are turning it over and the Saints are making them pay. (Q2 17:25)
Gresham adds another to the Saints’ tally. Without any immediate pressure he strolls in to goal after roving the ball off the back of a pack. (Q2 21:10)
Jade almost has two in a minute, but just misses his running shot from 50m out after receiving from Sinclair. (Q2 22:12)
It’s Deja Vu for Montagna who bombs another goal from the 50m line on the run. Some good clearance work from Koby Stevens set up Joey for goal #2 for the day. (Q2 23:31)
Newnes takes a couple bouncing as he moves the ball from wing to half forward. He find Bruce about 25m out in the pocket. With the left foot snap he misses yet again. (Q2 27:26)
Jack Steven gives the don’t argue to Rioli and snaps from 40m out. Jack adds another just before half time, further humiliating the Tigers. (Half Time)
Caddy gets the opening score of the second half with a nice crumb and snap in the pocket. However his shot bends too much and just gets the minor score. (Q3 2:34)
Dustin Martin hands it straight to Billings in the centre. The ball ends up with Membrey who goals from 40 out on the run. Too many turnovers for the Tigers. (Q3 4:00)
Caddy makes up for his recent miss to score an easy set-shot from the pocket for just Richmond’s second goal of the game. (Q3 6:01)
Koby Stevens drops a mark on the wing and is caught holding the ball. It ends with with Grigg 40m out who misses the set-shot left from directly in front. (Q3 8:00)
Ross finds Sinclair who has a paddock in the centre square. He quickly spots up Membrey on the lead. Tim marks, kicks and goals from 40. Number 3 for him today. (Q3 11:02)
Stengle almost has an opportunity but the ball finds Hunt, who gives to Caddy, who misses a snap from the pocket. (Q3 12:46)
A downfield free for high contact against Nathan Brown gives Castagna a 50m penalty that brings him within range. He slots it through. (Q3 15:18)
Caddy with strength gets past Steven, lowers his eyes and hits Castagna on the chest at 40. Never on line, through for a behind. (Q3 16:45)
McKenzie moves it to Koby Stevens, who finds Membrey in a 1-on-1. With strong hands he marks, and makes the most of his opportunity for a goal. (Q3 18:11)
Out of the middle Prestia gives to Lambert who kicks forward. Stengle receives the free for being held but me misses his set-shot from 40m with minimal angle. (Q3 21:22)
After good Saints pressure in the forward pocket, Billings gets it over the top to Sinclair who unselfishly hands to Bruce in front of goal. Bruce kicks it easily. (Q3 24:20)
Menadue tries to rebound from defence but turns it over awfully to Ross. Seb finds Riewoldt who marks and kick truly on a slight angle 35m out. (Q3 27:47)
Grigg’s mark and set-shot from 45m, directly in front, gets one back for the Tigers a minute before the 3QT siren. (Q3 29:59)
Despite a courages mark from Nathan Brown going back with the flight, Gilbert gives away a free kick to Dusty for holding. On a dirtty night by his standards, he goals from 15m out (Q4 4:22)
Cotchin finds Lloyd at 45m out on 45 degree angle. Lloyd marks, shoots, and misses right for a behind. (Q4 8:15)
Nankervis, Lloyd, Lambert and then lands with Butler after quick kicks. Dan goals from 35m out, right in front. (Q4 11:12)
Lambert snaps for goal off a step but his shot is wayward and high, luckily falling in the lap of Lloyd at the top of the square. Lloyd kicks truly. (Q4 13:37)
Long earns the free kick for a great tackle on Grigg. He pops it to the hot spot, it passes the pack and lands with Membrey. Tim slots his 5th goal. (Q4 15:52)
Sinclair finds Bruce on his own who marks inside 50. Josh dishes off the pass to McKenzie on a better angle, again, on his own. Dan goals. (Q4 17:52)
Jayden Short runs through the centre circle and kicks it forward. It flies over Riewoldt and ends up with Castagna. He sprays it out of bounds. (Q4 20:30)
The Tigers get one back through Brandon Ellis at 45 on the run after a chain of clean handballs with Edwards and Caddy in the middle. (Q4 21:27)
Inside 50 Rioli gives to Lambert, who squares the pass inboard to Butler. He marks, shoots, but misses to the left. (Q4 22:21)
Another opportunity for Castagna who kicks truly this time from 40m with minimal angle. (Q4 23:52)
Rance infringes on a Riewoldt marking attempt by pulling the arm. From 35 out, aiming for his fourth today, Nick pulls it left. (Q4 26:21)
Dusty is caught holding the ball by a great Roberton tackle. That starts a play that ends with a Lonie free kick 40m out. His set-shot hits the post. (Q4 27:30)
A very courageous mark from McKenzie on the wing, a pass to Membrey, followed by a Riewoldt set-shot. Nick elects to snap but misses. (Q4 30:16)
At the other end Jack Riewoldt marks before the siren. Nick with the first goal of the day, Jack with the last. Full time. (Full Time)
