Sicily beats Austin one on one to mark 30m out on the flank but kicks OOTF with a horrible set shot. (Q1 5:10)
Austin turns the ball over on the HBF to Lewis on the wing, who has Rioli on his own 35m out on the flank. Cyril kicks truly. (Q1 7:23)
Ebert turns the ball over from halfback, the Hawks work it across midfield, Gibson goes long to the hotspot where Gunston floats across to mark and goal. (Q1 10:25)

Rioli catches Clurey HTB at the hotspot in a classic chicken wing tackle and kicks his second goal, against the run of play which has bee all Port. (Q1 29:56)
The Hawks had more of the ball in Q1 but it was almost all in Port’s half as Port won the inside 50 count 17-8. It’s like Man U v QPR at the moment, Hawks scoring on the counter. (Qtr Time)

It was Hawthorn’s turn to dominate field position in Q2, but they couldn’t get clear for enough scores either. You would expect the game to switch in style again in Q3. (Half Time)

So, it was the Hawks who got the crucial burst when Boak went off for a bit, kicking three quick ones early in Q3 to put space on the scoreboard. From here they can coast. (3 Qtr Time)
