Daniel Curtin has had a long apprenticeship at AFL level, with stints variously as a key forward, half forward flank, on ball and on wings. It was in the last of these roles that he really started to come into his full powers, becoming the prototype of the newly-popular athletic tall wingman who runs from goalpost to goalpost to fly across contests to pinch marks. He was switched forward during the Showdown a few weeks ago, and his flexibility may turn him into a key utility like Mason Wood or Josh Weddle. His best position appears to wing, nevertheless.
