Puopolo toepokes to Mitchell in the pocket who just misses around the corner off the left from 20m. (Q1 10:47)
Hill and Puopolo do a highly pressured one-two in a phonebox in the pocket after a Lewis ball to a contest, Hill runs around and kicks the first Hawthorn goal from 15m. (Q1 14:41)
Hodge releases Howe for a gallop up the wing and long bomb to Rioli who draws a holding free on Kolodjashnij 40m out on a slight angle. Cyril shanks it way right, only a behind. (Q1 19:07)

Burgoyne sharks a pressured handball by Menegola at a stoppage on the HFF, he punches a low dart through from 45m! (Q2 10:12)
Whitecross does a one-two with Birchall at halfback, gallops up the wing and hits Breust running back to 40m on the flank. Breust splits the middle. (Q2 13:48)
The Hawks work through a nest of seemingly every Cat on the ground to smuggle the ball from centre wing to the goalface, Gunston to Breust for the goal to put them in the lead! (Q2 17:42)

After a tight Q1 in greasy conditions that don’t suit either side, the Hawks unleashed some of their trademark pressure play to set up a small lead. They could be further in front. (Half Time)
As usual, the Cats are struggling for targets other than Hawkins. Not that the tall Hawks are much to write Home about, with Gunston scoreless. (Half Time)
The (still small) difference is the Hawk small forwards, who have manufactured better opportunities. There are likely to be many more twists in this tale, of course. (Half Time)

White cross intercepts Mackie’s rebound kick on the wing and hits Fitzpatrick on the lead 40m out on the flank. Fitzpatrick misses. (Q3 14:30)

Hawkins catches Frawley HTB on the wing, goes long to near the hotspot where Menzel flies to mark and goal. Big one for Geelong in Q3 red time. (Q3 21:36)

Two hawks spoil a long ball to Smith but the Cats swarm the fall, Dangerfield gives to Guthrie to screw through a goal. Cats lead. (Q4 6:39)

The Hawks rebound quickly, Duryea to Breust 50m out, he plays on but gets smothered, he recovers and finds Isaac Smith to mark 30m out on a slight angle, siren sounds! (Q4 27:48)
