The Hawks start with a bang as Langford gets the centre clearance and is involved again as Smith pops up in the goal square for the handball receive and goal. (Q1 1:03)
Suckling marks after the Hawks get the centre clearance again. From 40 out on the flank he hits the woodwork. (Q1 2:01)
Petrie marks on the flank and goes long to the pocket where Brown marks easily against the smaller Hill. From 30 out in the pocket, he kicks the goal. (Q1 4:18)
Ceglar does well to catch Tarrant who illegally disposes of the footy deep inside his defensive 50. From 20 out on a slight angle, Ceglar goals. (Q1 7:03)
Swallow receives a free deep in the Roos’ 50 after Duryea gave him a jab to the chest. From 15 out he kicks the simple goal. (Q1 10:14)
Thomas draws a trademark high free kick and receives a 50 metre penalty after Swallow is put down behind play by Hodge. He kicks the goal as players start to wrestle. (Q1 14:04)
Breust wins a free 20 out on a slight angle after a centre bounce free kick to the Hawks. He kicks the goal. (Q1 16:43)
Breust wins a free against Macmillan 50 out directly in front after the Hawks cleared the centre bounce. His kick just travels the distance but is off line. (Q1 17:19)

Hawks cut through the centre and Rioli gives to Hill at half forward. He’s caught in two minds on whether to shoot or pass, and from 40 out, misses to the left. (Q1 29:38)
The Hawks line up along the boundary and work along it to Hill who finds Roughead on the chest in front of Tarrant. From 35 out on the flank he kicks the goal. (Q1 31:20)

Hill bursts down the wing away from Wood and finds Gunston who goes back and finds Roughead unattended 30 out, directly in front. He misses the set shot disappointingly. (Q2 1:51)
Nahas is spoiled by Gibson deep in defence and the ball bounces back to the arc. Wood collects and sends a high ball toward goal but misses. (Q2 4:34)

From a ball up in the Roos’ hot spot, Higgins roves and snaps quickly from 25. He bends it too much though and misses. (Q3 3:24)
Mitchell finds Ceglar in front of Goldstein who marks in his finger tips. From 50 out on the flank he goals. (Q3 4:15)
The Hawks with a great chain of foot skills find Rioli 50 out on the boundary. He squares up to Gunston who marks in front of Thompson. From 35 out on the flank he misses. (Q3 6:26)
The Roos go end to end and Thomas goes long to the pocket where Higgins loses Birchall to collect and run into an open goal. (Q3 7:56)
The Roos rebound from full back and find Nahas who bursts down the wing with Stratton behind. He finds Petrie in the pocket unopposed. From 30 out on a 45 degree angle he misses. (Q3 10:39)
Lewis marks deep in the pocket after a Hill pass. He concedes ground but gains a better angle as he centres to Smith 40 out directly in front. A score review is called… (Q3 11:53)

Burgoyne loads up from outside 50 and Ceglar makes the contest in the square. It falls to Breust who attempts the snap but slams it into the post. (Q3 28:40)
Firitto slips on the wing and allows the Hawks to go inside 50 through Stratton. Rioli collects the loose ball and gives to Roughead who launches a high snap from 40 which is good! (Q3 32:09)
Rioli gets the centre clearance to Gunston who finds Langford 40 out on a 45 degree angle. His set shot is well wide for a behind. (Q4 0:40)
The Hawks go long to the square where McEvoy and Goldstein tangle. After a juggled effort from McEvoy the ball goes to ground where Gunston is lurking and he snaps the goal. (Q4 4:36)
Wood gets the free for front on contact against Birchall and sends the ball deep inside 50 where Brown rises and clunks the mark. From 30 out on a slight angle he goals. (Q4 8:51)
A ball up is called in the Hawks goal square after 2 players stayed down after a heavy collision. From the ball up Lewis roves and snaps an easy goal. (Q4 11:00)
Thomas marks 40 out on a 45 degree angle. He goes back and slots a consolation goal for the Roos. (Q4 12:52)
Petrie marks unmanned 30 out directly in front after a chiselling ball from Turner. He goes back and kicks the goal. (Q4 15:52)
Smith spots up Breust virtually unmanned in the pocket 25 out on a fair angle. He goes back and goals. (Q4 17:42)
Gibson touches a long shot at goal from Wood right on the line and it is confirmed with a score review. (Q4 19:46)
The Hawks go end to end easily through Rioli with Mitchell being the beneficiary in the situation launching a long and accurate shot at goal from 50 out. (Q4 20:42)
Ceglar beats Firrito in the pocket and squares it up where Smith collects. His shot at goal from 15 is wild and is only a behind. (Q4 21:24)
Gibson bangs a long kick inside 50 where the pack rises and the ball is knocked over the back. Hill swoops and runs into an open goal. (Q4 26:08)
Roughead marks on the lead in front of Tarrant 40 out on the flank. He goes back and nails the set shot. (Q4 26:33)
Roughead gets on the end of another one with Rioli’s spearing ball giving Tarrant no chance. From 45 out on a slight angle he misses. (Q4 28:22)
Whitecross finds Gunston 50 out on the flank as the siren blows. Gunston goes back and just makes the distance for a goal! (Q4 28:22)
