do we have an indication of the seriousness of tuck’s shoulder…
or hurley & stokes for that matter?

    OHEIQHEDTI~!~!@~)*&

I traded Tuck IN. I am sooo stupid. Should listen to my own advice about not trading before teams are announced. >:(

    /fail @ dreamteam.

Monty you should really listen to me mate, I told you Hogan would come in round 2.

As for Stokes, soreness is the Geelong way for saying rested or dropped (rested in Stokes’ case, dropped for Lonergan). Expect Stokes to come back next week, Lonergan hopefully not.

  8. stop....hammertime

    April 2, 2009 at 8:44 pm

OUT Hurley, Raines. Not named Broughton. Reckon Hill will not make freo’s final cut.
    4 defenders down already.
Plus T.Tuck out and Beams not named yet.
    Bye Bye trades.

should i choose trent hentshel, wade thompson or simon hogan

  11. gooms

    April 2, 2009 at 8:50 pm

yep well managed to avoid the pitfalls of hurley, tuck etc. but then got hit by a fierce john worsfold right hook which i didnt at all see coming, by that i am referring to spangher and butler. i mean seriously worsfold its not like butler the poor kid hasnt had his fair share of injuries and you go and give him 1 game and then turf him. thats a joke, really i mean persist with him for at least a few games… so a potentially advantageous situation to me created by injuries this round is now out the window…

Sam Lonergan is out of the Essendon side for 1-2 weeks Monty, after fracturing a bone in his hand. Hurely strained a quad an is out for 2-4.

Quinn is named on the ground (rather than Lonergan in your team).

    butler is a let down.
got mitch robinson to back him up so its all good.

    yeah your right bouckss09

  16. SWB

    April 2, 2009 at 8:56 pm

How long is tuck out for? Being a butler owner the advantage of seeing everyone elses mid-price go down is now a disadvantage because the best trade target is gone. I can’t afford haselby either so i’ll have to either downgrade raines and upgrade butler or vise-versa. This is a disaster.

    Thanks boucks09, my bad.

  24. fijian recruit

    April 2, 2009 at 9:12 pm

prices change after the player has played three games and then everygame they play after that. works out on an average. is hislop woth it at this stage and how does he go with injuries

  25. Scuzzlebut

    April 2, 2009 at 9:14 pm

SWB – Tuck’s shoulder is apparently just briused and he should be back next week.

wce2009 – no North player is ever safe.

  26. the dud

    April 2, 2009 at 9:27 pm

Anyone know how bad Scott Stevens’ hammy really is?

  30. Big Bad Burley

    April 2, 2009 at 9:30 pm

    @ gooms

“yep well managed to avoid the pitfalls of hurley, tuck etc”

no offense dipshit but how can that be “well managed”, they are both injured?!?!?

  31. hilly

    April 2, 2009 at 9:32 pm

I agree with Big Bad Burley, gooms is a tosser

  32. Dave Duchovny

    April 2, 2009 at 9:37 pm

Fuck me, BUCKLEEEEEYYYY? Any info from Melb fans would be appreciated

  33. Scuzzlebut

    April 2, 2009 at 9:39 pm

Mr Shi T. Backline – from afl.com: Stevens “complained of hamstring soreness following Wednesday’s training session”, so he shouldn’t be out long. They’re dropping like flies this year though.

  34. macca78

    April 2, 2009 at 9:44 pm

lost cousins, raines, tuck, hurley, so far this week. beams and boughton not named, it’s a great start to the year…

  35. spadgeriffic

    April 2, 2009 at 9:46 pm

Dosen’t Freemantle relise what they’re doing to all of us Coaches. WTF aren’t they playing their star rookies. Especially the ones I’ve got!!!

  36. hairy

    April 2, 2009 at 9:47 pm

big bad burley you might want to read the quote again

  37. Mr Shi T. Backline

    April 2, 2009 at 9:53 pm

Thanks, Scuzzlebut. I hope you’re right. I’m not gonna trade him out just yet, but I’ll be running on no emergency defenders this week.

  38. XztatiK

    April 2, 2009 at 9:59 pm

Yep, Scuzzlebut’s got it, Stevens should be back for Freo next week, except training was today not Wednesday. I think with the amount of players pushing for selection at the Crows (Shirley, Symes, Griffin, Thompson, Johncock), they will rest any player with the slightest niggle.

And yeah, I’m not sure gooms said anything wrong there. Calm down Burley and Hilly.

  39. XztatiK

    April 2, 2009 at 10:01 pm

Yeah definitely don’t trade Shitty Backline, he’ll be right.

  40. RocknRolla

    April 2, 2009 at 10:09 pm

In gooms’ defence, I think he was saying “Well (, I) managed to avoid the pitfalls of…” not that he well managed the avoidance of them.

Just quietly, how much does the injury news after round one suck? Big time! I wouldn’t imagine there would be too many coaches out there, regardless of how well they thought they picked their team that aren’t struggling with the sniff of a doughnut for round two either through injury or omissions. Craziness…

  41. Linus

    April 2, 2009 at 10:16 pm

Well thats it… out you go Gilmore. For some reason remedial Harvey likes Spudler Bradley and you’ll be pushed out alot.

  42. pascoe

    April 2, 2009 at 10:17 pm

hmmmm travis tuck. ok, if 1 week, then i have tuck and anthony on my bench. therefore if i am to maintain my rank 21 i need rich and robinson to star and get 70 each……is it possible?

  43. Chook Raffle

    April 2, 2009 at 10:23 pm

XztatiK I have Tuck and will be definitely trading him out based on your earlier recommendation to trade, trade. Thanks for the advice!!

  44. korza

    April 2, 2009 at 10:25 pm

I want to be humble, so i will keep my thoughts to myself.

  45. cranny vegas

    April 2, 2009 at 10:27 pm

pascoe, did you just “rank number drop” there?? if your at 21 champ i think your guess is as good as any!! oh and by the way this site is fantastic, i had my highest SC score ever this round. not sure if i can back it up with this many injuries though..

  46. RocknRolla

    April 2, 2009 at 10:34 pm

You know who you should ask pascoe – Penny from “Penzy’s Punishers”. She’s all over anyone ranked #21.

  47. Simon

    April 2, 2009 at 10:35 pm

I am in stitches… Hurley, Tuck, Spangher, Collier, Raines, Cousins.

Some players are going to be TOAST.

Loving this… first ever time and I am laughing all the way

  48. Pete

    April 2, 2009 at 10:37 pm

Kyle Cheney named in the centre, thats a plus for anyone who gambled on a melbourne rookie. If cheney plays another solid game he mite become the trade for raines as hurley is now out. Petrenko fills in my hole of raines down back. annoyed broughton hasn’t even been named in the 25 yet 🙁

  49. Robin Bancs

    April 2, 2009 at 10:42 pm

I followed m0nty’s premium back structure and managed to ensure I had 30 scoring players in the 160 minutes of madness. 1 trade for me. Raynes out, Cheney in. Rd 6 is too long a wait for me given most of the value movement happens from Rd 4-6.

  50. Ash

    April 2, 2009 at 10:45 pm

YEAH I have Hurley, Raines, Anthony and Tuck, so i traded Raines for Cheney. Leaving me with 3 guys out for a month or so. Well i dunno about TUCK, i dont think anyone does!!! SO then next week i will trade Anthony for either dangerfield or otten. Make some money and get rid of Hurley for Hodge when he drops.
