It was perhaps surprising that Tom J. Lynch suited up for all 25 games in his first season at Richmond, as he was coming off a season-ending PCL injury. The first half of his season was poor, as was that of his club, but he peeled off six straight games of three-plus goals after the bye to lift his fantasy average by 20 points. Most importantly he was the pivotal player in the Tigers' most hardfought final, the preliminary final win over Geelong, in just the moment when they needed him most.Damien Hardwick refashioned the Tiger forward line around their new recruit and, after a few teething problems finding the right personnel to support him, it clicked in the second half of the season as they ran the table after the bye. Can we expect Lynch to average three goals per game as he did in that stretch to put a high floor on his output, or is there a reversion to the mean coming? He has booted 66 goals in a season before, so he's capable. He should be drafted late. -
