spud of the highest order, both for the cats and for channel 7. - midway - 166 months ago
yeh hes right up there with the richie vandenbergs in terms of worthy captains. highly overrated. - migman19 - 173 months ago
mm botched that last sentence abit - Lucky to retain his spot in the 09 finals but well deserved as being remembered as a worthy top notch captain all the same. . or something along those lines. *shrug* - AndyJ - 173 months ago
There is plenty more to being a captain then purely on-field heroics. Geelong were a basketcase in 2006 and in the first few rounds of 2007.. Much credit has been paid to Tom Harley, Corey Enright, Paul Chapman and Mathew Scarlett as the instigators for turning Geelong into the team people will remember for the 07 08 and 09 seasons. As for Harley's individual performances, he lead the league in marks from opposition kicks in atleast 1 of the 07 and 08 seasons.. earning all australian honors in 2008. Also honored with the AFLPA Best Captain Award in 2008. Tho he faded very noticeably in 2009 due to an ongoing battle with his knees/hamstrings. Lucky to retain his spot for the finals but as being remembered as worthy top notch captain all the same. - AndyJ - 173 months ago
No way. he was an average captain and a below average player in a very good team. put him in a bottom 4 side and there would be no talk about how good of a captain his is. its the team that makes the captain, not the individual. - migman19 - 173 months ago
One of the best captains at Geelong, but never been great in fantasy land. - BigV - 173 months ago
Out until at least Round 4 according to afl.com.au - Trojan - 182 months ago

Mr Football

Mr FootballThe Mr Football fantasy management simulation is being developed for a soft launch as a mobile game for Android and iPhone in 2024. It is a collectible card game set in a different world, one where Ross Oakley failed and there is no national league… but footy still thrives. Become the coach of your own team, recruit players by opening card packs, train them up, play teams from all over Australia and try to win it all! Check out the latest rules document from the original browser game on the Mr Football board.
