Cooper Lord does not get the media plaudits of highly-rated teammate Jagga Smith, but his development may be just as key to the next Carlton top six side as that of Smith. While every midfield needs a quality accumulator, that role doesn't thrive unless there is also a garbologist who does the dirty work to enable it. Lord's job security has been marginal this year, but he's the next quiet achiever at inside mid who keeps the rest of the engine room ticking. He also has the potential to rise like Tom Sparrow to join the top echelons later in his journey.
