Zac Banch is one of a long line of small crumbing forwards tried by North Melbourne during their rebuild, and he has come onto the list at just the right time to enjoy the team starting to compete for finals again. It hasn't been much fun playing that role at the Kangaroos during their down years, but the rise of Cooper Trembath has proven lucrative for Banch and his cohorts as they have more crumbs to feed on. North also haven't quite found their best high half forward option, so Banch has a year or two to stake his claim on that prized position.
