Nick Coffield has overcome form and injury issues while at St Kilda and the Bulldogs to slot into the latter's back six with a minimum of fuss. Every team needs a defender capable of standing on talls and smalls, and though Coffield would prefer not to have to battle against gorillas the injury list at his new club is bad enough that he will be called to do so as the main part of his job, not just through handovers. Bailey Dale is normally the Dogs' designated rebounder, but his absence will mean more disposals out of the back half for Coffield in the short term.
