Mason Cox is not what you would traditionally think of as a cream player - the sort who doesn't hit the stat sheet all that often, but bobs up just when you need him at a crucial stage in bag games. His preliminary final performance for Collingwood against Richmond in 2018 built his personal legend in that regard, and his new club Fremantle will hope he can do the same for them in this year's September campaign if they need a spark in a knockout game. He is not a fantasy player at all, just a wildcard whose finest moment may be yet to come.
