Harrison Jones is one of a crop of young Essendon players who came into the system with plenty of height and perceived potential to fulfil. Tall juniors are supposed to take five years for their bodies to gain enough bulk to truly compete with mature bodies in the big league, but Jones and Nik Cox have both been in the system for longer than that now, and they still haven't nailed down a spot in the best 23. Like Cox he can play key position at both ends or wing, but at none of those spots can he physically dominate a contest. The Dons need more dominance from him.
