Michael Sellwood is one of the victims of the Western Bulldogs' injury curse of 2026, or perhaps one of its beneficiaries. He has played more senior games than might otherwise have been expected but, as soldiers continued to fall around him, his role has assumed greater responsibility in marking tall forwards, to which his body is not particularly well suited at a listed 186cm. Maybe his ceiling was to be a roleplayer regardless, but he won't have many opportunities to showcase his reputed qualities as an interceptor while playing back-shoulder on bigger opponents.
