Mattaes Phillipou is a prototype player, which is footy jargon for a body shape and skill set which we can all see should be useful for some role in Australian rules football, but possibly a role that hasn't existed up to now. He has plied his trade during his apprenticeship in various starting positions on flanks, key positions and in midfield, with fantasy coaches obviously hoping he would settle in the last of those as it promises the most statistical output. He has played every senior game this season with highly varying levels of output. His latest run as a flanker is less than optimal for his future.
