Tyler Sonsie is most definitely an outside player, starting often on a wing with plenty of work on a half forward flank as well. Some players look at their best when delivering inside 50, and Sonsie is one of those, but of course that can't be the only arrow in your quiver. He is still lightly-framed, as many Richmond draftees are at this early stage of their rebuild, and he doesn't have the height or bulk of a Daniel Curtin type to compete in the air as yet. A couple more preseasons in the gym should fill him out so we can see his full potential.
