Jy Farrar is an unlikely candidate to be Gold Coast's replacement for the departed Jack Lukosius, but that was the role he played last week in the hugely consequential win over the Lions. Farrar had languished at VFL level for a long while, but he returned with a ponytail and an increased appetite for the contest, getting to interesting areas for mid-range set shots which he managed to get on target, belying the old saw about kicking like a backman. With the Suns midfield supplying at higher levels than the sun itself on the Gold Coast, he is an interesting fantasy pickup option.
