Brodie Smith has regained a place in the senior Adelaide side recently, much to the consternation of a section of Crows supporters who think he is just the sort of list-clogger that the club needs to get past on its way to securing a top four spot in 2025. This, at a club which gave David Mackay 200 games and appointed Nathan van Berlo as captain. Adelaide's historical bent towards mediocrity aside, Smith was a gun a few years ago with his run-and-carry from defence, but he has lost a yard or three over the years and is now on the fringes.
